He's a grumpy, single-dad lumberjack, and this Christmas I want to be the ginger in his bread...
Hudson Jolly is, ironically, the biggest Scrooge in Merryville, but I'm not intimidated. He warns me to stay away from him. However, I'm convinced he's playing reindeer games.
When I learn he's searching for a nanny, I offer to help. Out of desperation, he hires me. Β That's his first mistake.
The attraction is undeniable and after too much spiked eggnog, lines are quickly crossed. I jingle his bells, and Hudson becomes my ho ho ho, but-because there's always a but with broody men like him-only for the season.
Now I'm wishing for a holiday miracle because the Grinch stole my heart or did I steal his?
A Very Merry Nanny is a small-town single-dad holiday romance with rom-com vibes. If you're searching for a grumpy/sunshine romance set in a Southern small town, then this book is for you! Each book in the Very Merry series can be read as a standalone. Each ends with a sweet as gingerbread happily ever after.

Good prequel to the series.
So much better than the first in the series but it had a rough start. I dislike the tease of a beginning and then the gotcha when you go to read the book. It has me thinking twice about whether I want to read the next book or not. If it happens again, I donβt think I will continue.
Love the story and that nothing breaks them apart like all the drama! Love that their love is so strong
Wow what a great book. I loved Hudson and Emma. I mean who wouldn't love Emma. I loved her rules I loved her attitude and I love that she fell in love with Hudson but got spooked. Bad relationships can do that to a person. Same with Hudson and his son Cody. His bad marriage spooked him and when he first met Emma at her sisters engagement party back in July he knew she was the one. But because she got spooked and left he built a wall around his heart. So his grumpy demeanor. This is really a great romance/love story from start to finish. There are some cute funny parts thru out especially when the two of them are almost going to kiss and one of the brothers interrupts. It's like come on guys give them a break. I'm sad I'll have to wait an entire year to get Lucas' book. That one should be interesting.
βA Very Merry Nannyβ by Lyra Parish is a charming and heartfelt romance that follows Emma, who returns to her hometown of Merryville for her sisterβs party, only to find herself staying longer than expected. When she becomes the nanny for the grumpy brother, the last thing she anticipates is falling in love. Who doesnβt love the grumpy/sunshine & single dad trope? βοΈThis slow-burn chemistry between Emma and Hudson is both sweet and swoon-worthy, making this a delightful read for anyone who loves a grumpy MC, unexpected love, and new families made.Emmaβs growth throughout the story is inspiring, and the small-town setting adds to the overall warmth of the book. I also LOVED when she took a stand to Hudsonβs terrible βexβ wife to fight for Hudson and his son. A perfect holiday escape for romance lovers!
