"The undisputed queen of dark rom-coms is back with a new swoony, one-of-a-kind banger, and the book world better get ready for it!" --Ali Hazelwood, #1 New York Times bestselling author

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Brynne Weaver comes a wickedly delicious new series where dark romantic comedy meets thrilling suspense--and where falling in love can be a killer.

Welcome to Cape Carnage! Visit Once, Stay Forever.

You can hide in the farthest reaches of the deepest hell, and I will still drag you out. Even the devil can't save you from me.

Cape Carnage is a seaside town of colorful houses, quirky shops, and an unusually high body count. With tourists comes trouble, and Harper Starling won't let anyone ruin her picture-perfect home. A skilled gardener with killer instincts, Harper protects her sanctuary--and her aging mentor with a fading memory--at any cost. Troublesome tourists don't check out of Carnage. They compost beneath Harper's award-winning flowerbeds.

But Nolan Rhodes isn't your average tourist. Devilishly handsome, disarmingly charming, and skilled with a blade, Nolan is relentless in the pursuit of revenge. On every anniversary of the hit-and-run accident that fractured his life, Nolan slays another target. And he's saved the best for last: the undeniably beautiful Harper Starling. The problem? Harper isn't the monster he expected. And she won't go down without a fight.

When an amateur true crime investigator comes to Cape Carnage on the trail of a long-lost serial killer, Harper and Nolan strike an uneasy truce. If Nolan helps Harper protect her town, she'll keep quiet about his hunting habits . . . for now. But their alliance soon spirals into obsession, one that threatens to shatter every secret in Carnage--including their fragile love.

Tourist Season is a darkly funny, slow burn, enemies-to-lovers romance where destruction and desire are balanced on the edge of a blade--and where love is the most dangerous battleground of all.

Devoured this book!!!

There is just something about the way Brynne Weaver writes that captivates me from the beginning and keeps me there. This is a spin off series from Ruinous love trilogy and is written in the same tone.Harper was great. I loved her character from the first page. The mystery was interesting and kept the book moving. There was of course murder, but there is something about the way the characters are written where it doesn’t hit like true horror, which I stay totally away from.I will absolutely be reading the next one when it comes out and I cannot wait to see where these characters go. Do yourself a favor and check out the audiobook for this one! I love the audio it was so good!

Brynne Weaver remains one of my favorite authors!

I love all of Brynne Weavers books, and this one is no exception. She has a dark sense of humor that just seems to match mine. 😏This book isn’t quite as fast paced as the books in her Ruinous Love series, but that’s probably because this is a trilogy, whereas those books featured a different couple in each book. So she was able to slowly build this story more. It was still a dark, comedic thrill ride that keeps you invested in the story. I loved watching their relationship slowly, reluctantly build…and the soapbox car race scene just about killed me!I just don’t think any book will ever top Butcher and Blackbird for me. Rowan and Sloane will always hold a special place in my heart! But this one comes close, and I can’t wait for book 2 to come out!

I wish I would have been warned about the cliffhanger. I usually don’t read them unless the other book is out 😩It was a great book all around.
