25 Alive: A Women's Murder Club Thriller

The Women's Club is back with a vengeance. Detective Lindsay Boxer is assigned to a case that is more than just personal since it involves a person she loved dearly and was also her partner.Warren Jacobi worked with Lindsay for several years and learned from him what she did not learn from the academy.  How can he be dead? Who would want to kill him?Lindsay is very emotional, and although Claire tries to comfort her, Cindy and Yuki all know and love him.There are no clues, except a matchbook cover with the words "I said you were dead" written on the inside. Where do they begin?In the meantime, Yuki is trying to put Esteban Dario Garza, known to his friends as "Dario," for murdering his friend, and she is sure he has murdered others before.Several other people have now been found dead with the words "I said you were dead," some in Francisco and others in different states.In the meantime, Joe and his partner are sent to Mexico because they believe that is where the killer is.As usual, Cindy always seems to find information she can pass along while Yuki deals with problems in the courthouse.I thought that they should have emphasized more how worried Lindsay was, as she knows his partner is in the hospital for her protection, and Joe is in jail.They don't cooperate much with the police, who maintain the jail.  Is Joe alive or dead?Joe has been gone for several days with no contact with anyone from the team, and I thought they should have paid more attention to that and Lindsay and her daughter.The book is interesting but not as exciting as I would have expected.  Now I have to wait till next April for Mr. Patterson to release the next new book in the series.

As always Patterson and Paetro knock another out of the park! Great addition to the Women’s Murder Club! Can’t wait for the next one!

Another great women's murder club book. Fast read with several nice twists. Lots of buildup for a so so ending though. All in all, not one of Patterson's best, but still pretty good. Can't wait for 26!!

A great read, I’ve read all 25 over the years and now my daughter is reading the series and passing along to a friend

The book was great it ended to soon,it kept me guessing what was going to happen next .I give the book 5 stars

Have this read four stars due to the incomplete stories that weren't limited as fluidly as most of the other Women's Murder Club books. Same shero sisterhood but more like the cases kind of solved themselves. Still very good.

The twists and turns just keep coming. The complexity of the individual cases of the SFPD and the SF Chronicle, don’t seem at all related until the very end. This keeps the suspense going and flowing. It’s simply one of the best by these fabulous authors!

25 Alive was excellent. The drama was intense. All the characters were, as usual, excellent. I couldn't stop reading it and can't wait until 26 comes out.

All these books are amazing! I have read all twenty five and looking forward to the twenty sixth! Always a quick, fun and interesting read!

I love the Womens Murder Club and was c glad to find this one. Half way through reading it, hated to stop to write the review, and it's standards hold up to the other 24.

Clever story, well-organized plot and a good mystery that holds your attention until the ending. I rated this book a four because the ending was rushed, all solved in a few pages. The good guys do win, so the book was well worth the read.

Good, but not great read. Scenarios with different sets of characters bounced back and forth throughout the book making it hard to become immersed in the plot lines. The intrigue did hold my attention, and was heart pounding at times. I highly recommend it.

I had taken a break waiting for the next book in the series before #24 was released! This by far is the best series of mystery books in my collection. It’s not just a repeat of the same story with some new characters but each book is a new and interesting book with twists and turns along the way. Can’t wait to see what new and interesting crimes will pull the Women’s murder club into action.

The is series has not qualms on killing off characters. This book is yet another example of that.I am so invested in this series. I know at some point, it will end. But I hope not soon. I am wrapped up in all the characters' lives like a good TV show.This book takes us on a ride to figure out what happened to Jacobi. And then Yuki's drug cartel case. There is no shortage of goings on in this book. One can't possibly get bored while reading it!Now I wait another year or so for the next one....

Lindsey remains the pro cop she is known for. But in this tail wild things are happening in Yuki’s court room and Joe is missing in Mexico. The bad guys are easy to spot but keeping the good guys safe is not as easy as one would think. If you’ve like Lindsey Boxer before you’ll like this book. It doesn’t disapppoint.

This is one of The Women's Murder Clubs best. Fat paced with lots of twists and turns, made me dizzy trying to keep up. I wanted to it to slow down so I could savor the stories. And the most ended but there is one major line left open. We all can only hope that story gets published soon!

As a long time fan of Patterson's novels, The Women's Murder Club" series is probably my favorite. While I enjoy almost all of the writer's books and other series as well, I have felt disappointment in some of his stories when I felt that there was too much detail and description and not enough focus on the primary characters and the action that followed. This wasn't the case in this "episode,"however. The characters are people we might know, and the amount of action and suspense is just right to keep the reader wanting to continue on to the next chapter.

Haven't read it yet but in my stack to read. My husband is busy mowing our house as well as Church cemetery as it's been raining here. So sometimes twice a week. I am a breast cancer survivor but unfortunately my breast cancer medicine interfered with Prolia shots given to me to keep my bones strong. I don't remember if anyone told me to take Vitamin D3 for my bones or not, but now have a cross cut on upper left hand arm right below my ball joint. Unfortunately it must heal naturally and will take until July before it is healed. So must have something to keep me entertained and James Patterson books are well worth the read!

I love all things James Patterson, and this does not disappoint!! This will keep you guessing from the very beginning!! The Women's Murder Club will be very busy now! Detective Lindsay Boxer is called to a crime scene like she's never seen before; the deceased is her friend and mentor-Warren Jacobi. I was actual crying with this. Who would want him "I said, You Dead? Love the plot, great setting, and strong intense interesting characters. I look forward to reading more from Mr. James Patterson!!!

I always love these books, but this one had some great plot twists. I really enjoy that each member of the women’s murder club has an important part to play in each of the books.The plots are intricate enough that you find yourself waiting to find out exactly what the medical examiner learned, what the reporter has uncovered, how Yuki will take the case to trial, and how Claire managed to solve the crime.In this book, I thought it was lovely that Cindy was working on a case they thought was related to the death of Lindsey‘s good friend. And what you think is the same investigation ends up being a parallel investigation. Yes, both are investigations into unsolved murders, but it turns out they’re not related at all.No spoilers with this review so I’ll end with saying even though I love all of the women’s murder club novels I found this one to be especially entertaining.
