I am in love with this series. I had the first book on my shelf for a while and finally got to reading it. Immediately after I finished the first book, I got the second. I saw the third (this one) and pre ordered it. I got my book THE DAY IT CAME OUT. I was so happy to see it arrive on release date because usually it takes longer. I love the characters and the build up in this series. It’s definitely a slow burn, but I’m here for it. The villain and Evie have so much chemistry and the banter is unreal. This book threw me for a loop with all the surprises. I did guess the plot twist near the end of the book, but I still enjoyed every second. I cannot wait for the next one!!
I adore this series still! The writing style is as charming as it is interesting. This is probably the only series where I have consistently chuckled out loud multiple times throughout each book. The characters are all my favorite, there are so many good ones and they are all unique in personalities and mannerisms. The banter and slow burn between Evie and Trystan is delicious and I am loving every minute of it. The yearning…so much fantastic yearning! And finally some slow burn payoff. ;) There were higher stakes, many more mysteries and some big reveals in this one and I can’t wait for the 4th book! Everyone should read these in my opinion.
Oh my gosh! I just finished reading it and I'll kindly not spoil anything; BUT...I do believe this is funnier and more action packed than the other two...and for good reason. Not sure why I thought this was just going to be a three part series, because it's NOT...it definitely should not and there have better be a third because holy moly the clues were there and I was on the slow side picking them up. I've been thinking about volume three ever since I was able to pre-order it, and within a week, I finished reading it (reading it little bits at work was not enough and was painful; so I took it home and read it on my night off-totally worth it).
I am so so mad that there is another book again after this one! I have to keep paying for every book that comes out because you're not putting your books in Kindle unlimited anymore and I already pay for that subscription.This book is taking a lot of twists and turns but I have to admit for the most part it was mostly just really depressing and was the hardest book for me to get through so far.If the next book is written anyway like this one I don't think I can finish the series this was a really boring book to get through.I know sometimes you have to have a boring one to get to the better finale like the Twilight series I just hope and pray the last book is a really really awesome book! 🙏And it's totally fine not to put raunchy scenes in your books I think that's awesome but you couldn't have given a lot more detail without being raunchy than what you did it was just very lackluster after building up to the excitement of it. 😠
Accomplice picks up right where we left off at the end of Apprentice. Secrets are revealed. Someone is back from the dead (actually TWO someone’s are back from the dead…SACRE BLEU!) The kingdom’s magic is wonky. Kingsley is still a frog. Evie and The Villain are trying to fulfill a prophecy to save said kingdom while also trying to deny the unending attraction they feel for each other. Queue all the hilarious shenanigans that only this specific cast of characters can provide.This was a wild, crazy, laugh out loud, beautiful ride! I laughed. I cried. I kicked my feet. I cheered for The Villain and Evie. Secret: he has a thing for naked shoulders. The lovable cast of sidekicks were also front and center. Kingsley! Blade and Becky! Tati and Claire! Give me all the ships!That ending has my mind blown to smithereens. I truly don’t know how to go on from here. Please Lord let Hannah write fast. I need book 4 STAT so my heart can be resuscitated!Tropes:- grump x sunshine- slowwww burn- he’s the boss- found family- lovable side characters + creatures- fairytale like setting- the most morally grey of MMCs (at least he thinks he is )
