Taylor Thomas, a vision in a business suit, is a gay accountant who takes everything too seriously. He doesn't depend on anyone, and there's a lot on his plate between tax season and helping plan his sister's wedding.
He needs more fun in his life, and Gabriel is the man for the job.
Gabriel Rivera is the good-time guy. A bisexual botanist who talks to his plants, has too many hobbies, and ditches work to hang with his queer rec volleyball team. Gabriel isn't looking for a serious relationship, but when he spots the hottie in the car beside him on the highway, he can't resist shooting his shot.
As things heat up between Taylor and Gabriel, their insecurities become relationship roadblocks. Will love become the liability they have always believed it to be, or can it become an asset?
This is the first book in the Ace of Baes series, following a queer found family to their happily-ever-afters. Accounting for Love can be read and enjoyed as a standalone. Be prepared for closed-door sports and open-door spice.

Super cute — the two MCs are complete opposites and complement each other perfectly, and I loved the cast of quirky side characters! Can’t wait to see some of them get their own stories later in the series!
What a delightful and sexy story. Had to admit the cover pulled me in, but I do love a good opposites attract. Shy accountant and hot plant daddy is a great combination and I'll definitely look for the next book.
I really enjoyed this book! The story is engaging and every character is so well-developed and unique. I want to be in their friends group! A very sweet and spicy read
Taylor and Gabriel are young men weighted down by parental expectations. Taylor's parents passed off raising his younger sister to him when she was diagnosed with cancer and then guilted him into taking financial responsibility for her treatments. Gabriel's parents think he should have a prestigious career, a wife and 2.5 kids instead of working at the botanical gardens that he loves. After a highway meet cute they begin dating. Their chemistry is obvious but traumas from their pasts show up to trip them up. I admired that they were willing to apologize for their mistakes and work on being better for each other. I also enjoyed the supporting characters and I am excited to see them take center stage!
Really liked this debut novel from Bellamy West! Love the author name, by the way! This is a sweet, low angst story perfect for someone new to mm romance. Give this one a try!
