Collaborating with a ruthless, narcotics-fueled Lebanese gang from Dearborn, Michigan, they brew a recipe for catastrophe.
On leave from the Navy, Sarah "Danger" Freeman and her boyfriend, Jessie Hampton, both carrier pilots, have finally decided to tie the knot until they find themselves in the middle of an international terrorist plot.
Retired Marine Gunnery Sergeant Harley Jennings, now a terrorist expert with the FBI, traded in his tank for a Ford. With his Lebanese partner, they lead the fight against those who threaten the US.
From terrorist camps in Iran to the streets of America to the halls of power in the Middle East and Washington, this suspenseful page-turner takes the fight against terrorism right to the heart of this nation.

Such a let down from the first book. Sequels rarely hit the mark and this is no exception. Hope the third is better
This book was a snoozefest. Maybe the last 20 pages were interesting. Clearly a filler, bridge book. I could read maybe 10 pages at a time before becoming bored. Also the author has little understanding how HRT operates or what happens to the human body in proximity to an explosion. Bodies dont vaporize, short of a nuke.
We must be on guard at all times! One slip and as ATTACK FROM WITHIN demonstrated our National Treasures could be in jeopardy. Hopefully we can hit the terrorist before but most important the hatching beds of such plotters, I.e. Iran. It's past time we held them to account before a nuclear holocaust is their goal!
I read the first book in this series and enjoyed it very much. So I wanted to read the 2nd book, “Attack from Within”.Compared to the 1st book in the series, very disappointing. It was almost amateurish! It’s like the author did no research on the subject matter. I have spent 30+ years in law enforcement and worked with the JTTF and FBI.The authors description how these agencies talk, walk and work are nothing like what I read.A little research, maybe some interviews of the people in these agencies might have changed this book to something that appears written over a weekend to an interesting book.Since I mentioned research, you might have taken the time to go to Continental Hall in Philadelphia and actually looked at the facilities. Yes that location has been the number one terrorist target since 9/11. The Park Service has there own SWAT team assigned to that facility and the Liberty Bell in not in the tower portion of the building. It sits across the street in a see through glass (not really glass) blast proof building. Probably could have gone to google street view to figure that out.
Disappointing after the first book in the series... the plot is unoriginal and lazy with too many unbelievable conveniences for the characters as the story unfolds. The writing was simplistic and the story seemed rushed and incomplete. I became disinterested and had to push through to just finish it. I normally read at least two books a week... this disappointment took me a week and it was just 187 pages. This story has been written better in dozens of other works... I recommend you look there for a more enjoyable and fully developed read.
