One woman, two Nicks, and a Christmas season that's about to get very complicated.
When librarian Kay bumps into her ex-boyfriend Nick at a Christmas market, she thinks fate is finally giving her a second chance with her first big love. But then she gets spectacularly tangled in a Christmas tree-netting machine and meets another Nick entirely. One who cuts her free, dresses her wounds, and makes her pulse race in ways that thoroughly confuse her.
Finance Nick is successful, settled, and ready to talk five-year plans. Farmer Nick makes handcrafted furniture, supports local charities, and sees the creative spirit Kay has kept hidden behind her library desk. But how is a girl to choose?
Soon she's spending her days delivering books to children's hospitals and care homes with farmer Nick, before dashing home to whip off her reindeer onesie and glam up for romantic dates at the ballet with finance Nick.
But the countdown to Christmas is on, and Kay can't keep this up forever. Somehow she must navigate London's most complicated love triangle, avoid getting any more pine needles stuck in her hair - and work out once and for all which Nick has her heart.
A laugh-out-loud festive rom-com fans of Love Actually and The Holiday will adore.

This was the perfect rom-com holiday read. The FMC is hilarious and quirky, in the best way. I loved seeing the relationship with each Nick and at times it had me wondering which one she should go for. Definitely a βfeel-goodβ kind of book and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
If this book doesnβt get you in the Christmas spirit, nothing will. This book was the perfect blend of Christmas hilarity, romantic comedy, Hallmark vibes, and holiday festivities.Kay bumps into her ex, Saint Nick (no, not that one, THAT jolly ole fella would never dump her and especially not at a greasy pub of all places)....but years and time and heartache and happiness later, here he is again. And its the most random of meetings and before too long, Kay has slipped back into step with him with no more trouble than pinning on her elf ears or sliding into her ugly Christmas jumper! But is this really the right Nick?Because in a city that has apparently become overrun with βNicksβ overnight, Kay next finds herself stuffed, netted, and bundled into an actual Christmas tree while visiting a Christmas tree farm owned by a man named....well, obviously....Nick!The question is.....which Nick should Kay pick?
I usually donβt consider myself a seasonal reader, but Kristen Baileyβs books are an absolute exception! I first discovered her with Five Gold Rings (which, hello Netflix and Hallmark potential!) and it quickly became my favorite holiday book! And it wasnβt a one-off because last year she followed it up with We Three Kings, which I thoroughly enjoyed! But now, Big Nick Energy has taken the crown as my new favorite holiday book! This story isnβt just a heartwarming romanceβ¦itβs witty, charming and feels like a cozy warm hug on a chilly winter night. Perfect for escaping to London with Kay and her multiple Nicks!A chance encounter with her ex-boyfriend, Nick, has Kay cautiously considering a second chance. Nick is successful and thoughtful. A mishap with a Christmas tree netting machine sparks a friendship with another Nick, whoβs grumpy yet kind and supportive. Before long, Kay finds herself in a heartwarming and cleverly handled love triangle between Old Nick and Santa Nick.A bonus of the story is Kayβs loving relationship with her grandmother, who despite the challenges of encroaching dementia, remains a spit-fire and loving person.Big Nick Energy is both heartwarming and delightful, leaving you with that warm fuzzy feeling. Itβs a Hallmark movie on paper. The narration by Harrie Dobby is perfect and a delight to listen to. She brings Kay to life flawlessly, and performed the various voices making each one distinguishable and succinct. Dobbyβs performance truly elevates the story!
Another fun Christmas romp com full of Kristen Bailey's trademark banter which never fails to make me chuckle. I switched between the ebook and the audiobook for the full Bailey experience (especially because of the narrator). With its characters to take into your heart, comedic timing and wit Big Nick Energy has all the warmth one needs in a Christmas tale.
I requested an ARC of this book, and all opinions are my own. This was such a fun book to read - I really enjoyed getting to know Kay and her Nana (the main character, in my opinion, LOL). Their relationship was very special, and you could feel their love coming off the pages. I also enjoyed meeting the two Nick's in Kay's life - Old Nick and Santa Nick. Both had their good points, but one was the clear choice from the beginning. Their stories entwine, but not in a seedy, uncomfortable way. In fact, there's not a huge amount of discord in the story at all - but that is not to say there isn't a conflict. All good stories need one, but the conflict here was handled in a very organic way, and didn't seem 'tacked on' just for the sake of having something come between the main characters.Overall, I really liked this story, and I found it to be witty, heartwarming, and a great read.
