Black Thorns: Special Edition Print (Thorns Duet #2)

I read a novella written by Rina Kent called Yellow Thorns before reading the previous book Red Thorns (part one of this duology). As I was reading the story I guessed earlier on that Sebastian was Akira. Don’t ask me how I knew, but I picked up on that twist early. Black Thorns is a fitting in for this duology. I heard about the controversy surrounding this series. The only thing that I did not like about the book is the pacing in the third act. other than that, I enjoyed the story. This is a dark romance novel and not the first one that I have read. It is one of many that I have devoured in the last two years. I have become used to reading different kinks. They are not things that I am into but I like to live vicariously through fictional characters sometimes. The coolest thing about the Rinaverse is that the author likes to take side characters from her stories and give them their own stories. I love that. I rated this novela a 3 out of 5 stars.

I think I found my new man in the rina world! Sebastian that dark soul he is and ugh Naomi! I remember them now from other books! This brings the duet to a beautiful twisted end ! I thought I knew what was happening but I really had no idea! Please give Rina world a chance you won’t be disappointed!!!

4.6 I really enjoyed that Sebastian’s middle name is Akira and I feel like it adds a fun twist in the story. Sebastian and Naomi have a really interesting story I ties them longer than they could have imagined. I think it’s all pretty unprobable but very interesting.

This one was more interesting than the first. Got all my questions answered and more twists I didn’t see coming. I loved seeing cameos/mentions of other characters I’ve met. Can’t wait to jump into the next book in the rinaverse.
