When famous authors passed on and other authors took over the series, this reader was not pleased. Author Don Bentley changed this reader’s mind. He has done a great job carrying on the works of other authors, and now his continuation of Vince Flynn’s Mitch Rapp novels is outstanding.Having now finished “Capture or Kill” one can see that the author’s previous military history aided in putting this story together. While there are several plots going on at the same time, the premise that Osama bin Laden is still alive and potentially in a compound in Pakistan takes the lead. Most certainly is Mitch Rapp dealing with many dangerous situations at the same time, but he never reverted to Abbott and Costello’s “Who's on First” situation. This reader also enjoyed being taken back to his former stomping grounds and wondered what Mitch would do if he was dining in a primitive outdoor restaurant in Quetta, Pakistan, when a group of heavily armed Mujahedeen walked in for some food before seeking medical treatment. They were the forerunners of the Taliban and Pakistan evidently welcomed them to cross over from Afghanistan.Excited that the new Mitch Rapp novel by author Don Bentley will be released on September 30, 2025. “Denied Access” has already been preordered from Amazon!
Back to the Mich Rapp I love !Interesting and suspenseful.
I don’t find this book as exciting as others . Just not Vince Flynn. Also Mike Nash is in the book and he committed suicide in previous book.
Don, in his first Mitch Rapp book, has done a fantatic job in capturing the essence of Rapp....his make-no-apologies, don't mess with me, do whatever he has to attitude, is spot on. The Mitch from the early books is back!!!!! Looking forward to Denied Access!
Another great read and Don Bentley seems to have added a small piece of humanity on this occasion to Mitch Rapp. I recommend it strongly and await the next adventure.
