I've been naughty... Like, run a car over your abusive ex kind of naughty. But it's not the police coming to punish me. It's the Krampus.
It's the best time of the year in the mountain village I call home, known for its Krampus lore and festive enthusiasm during the holidays.
From the outside looking in, my life is perfect. I live in a winter wonderland, I'm engaged to the town's beloved "honied ham man" and I run the town's most precious flower shop.
No one would ever know my fiancé is an abusive psychopath who's threatened to kill me if I ever try to leave him. It's a secret I've always kept hidden, my burden to bear.
The only person who sees right through the mask I wear is my Christmas tree vendor. He follows me, watches me. He thinks he's keeping me safe. Too bad my fiancé gets the wrong idea and flies into a jealous rage. This time, I fight back.
Now, I've done something bad. To escape justice, I flee to a mountain cabin to drown myself in a bottle of eggnog and spend Christmas alone.
Only I'm not alone. Turns out, the legends are true.
The Krampus is real. And he's come to punish me for murdering my fiancé.

Aiden always brings it when it comes to her dark holiday books and this one did not disappoint!!! Clara is a bada$$ and loved how she saved herself. Bastion is 🔥🔥🔥 I would definitely let him in to my house! The chemistry was amazing and they definitely deserved their ending!!! Can’t wait for more!
They loved each other before they discovered their dark secrets… and then they loved each other even more. Swoon! But I could have totally done without the eggnog bottle. That was weird.
Dark and spicy. Very much enjoyed this book. I really like how the MFC saves herself and finds herself again.
Clara defends herself against abuse and gets her monster in the end. The scenes of abuse were a little graphic, but imaginable and helps the reader understand Calea and her actions. I want more from Bastian from his thinking and development.
Clara was naughty and Krumpus is going to punish her. Too bad that is exactly what she wants.I really enjoy this author's take on Krumpus.I am so glad Clara finally decided to do something about her fiancée. It reminded me of an episode of Snapped. I also like how the author adds in that Clara likes certain types of books, I think it makes the character a little more relatable. This book is the perfect monster Christmas story and the perfect addition to the author’s other monster books.
