Frank Herbert's classic masterpiece--a triumph of the imagination and one of the bestselling science fiction novels of all time.
Set on the desert planet Arrakis, Dune is the story of Paul Atreides--who would become known as Muad'Dib--and of a great family's ambition to bring to fruition humankind's most ancient and unattainable dream.
A stunning blend of adventure and mysticism, environmentalism and politics, Dune won the first Nebula Award, shared the Hugo Award, and formed the basis of what is undoubtedly the grandest epic in science fiction.

I gave it as a gift.
In a similar vein to recently rereading The Hunt for Red October, I am somehow surprised to find that books are more entertaining than other media. You can't have the descriptions and inner thoughts of characters in a movie as easily as you can in a book. Great read.

Beautiful book and perfect for a collectors bookshelf. Well made, gorgeous dust jacket, and the outer pages are a stunning blue
Best book ever written. And the quality of the deluxe edition is perfect for my collection.
Great quality for a paperback book. Story was good too.
