Ordered the used, said it was in good condition. The cover is not in good condition at all, but the pages are fine and that's what matters to me. Great book.
The first 70% (500ish pages) could have been written in 100 pages. It just was much too slow and long. Honestly, if it hadn’t been on my summer reading list, I probably would have DNF’d it (as I’ve done before). BUT the last 30% really got going. I do care about the characters, but it wasn’t until this point that anything interesting began to happen to them. Surprisingly, I think Roran’s storyline is my favorite. I will probably read Brisingr someday.
Perfect
As a dragon and a rider learn to be warriors, collecting friends and learning about their enemies while traveling across the country, this tale unfolds. Surprising history is revealed and a new respect for life is earned by the new rider and his dragon.
My nephew wanted the books in this series for Christmas. He was excited when I sent them to him. He enjoyed reading them.
