Fade is back from the dead and on the trail of a madman intent on unleashing a plague on the world. It’s his greatest challenge yet as he looks to recover physically and mentally from his near death injuries, but Fade is at his best when his back is to the wall. Mills brings the action and energy we expect from a top notch thriller, and Fade In expands the legend of Fade!
Kyle Mills is one of the best thriller writers in the business and Fade In is an exhibition of his talent and skills. Through the story he creates conversations about what the world looks like and explores the grey areas of governments and the private elite.Fade is a fascinating character who defies traditional thriller tropes, while still bringing the action hero chaos which you are looking for.Fade In is in many ways a reboot-qual, stand alone adventure, resurrection tale and start of a new series. None of these facets of the story cause an imbalance. From start to finish Fade In delivers compelling, well written, and intriguing thrills.
Kyle Mills is introducing us to a new character, Fade. Fade is a highly skilled solider when is elite in killing and strategizing. Fade is also emotionally broken and he is not alone. Many of the fascinating characters are emotionally broken, but all are very intelligent. You mix in those cast of characters with the treat of global bioterrorism, you have a thriller that is ripped from the headlines. Fade has a unique background and that is what makes for a interesting read. I was frustrated and intrigued by this book and those two feelings had me all in. Frustrated, because I wanted to know more about Fade; and intrigued by Fade backstory and how it made for a different thriller. Now I am waiting for Book 2.
Too hard to follow. Put it down when Inwasc2/3 through it. Hope he does better next time
Too choppy. I had to re read multiple sentences and paragraphs throughout the book for the wording to flow. Disappointing, bc I loved the first Fade.
