Enjoyable start to the series. I liked the mystery surrounding Luca, and how it was revealed a little at a time. Alissa was the perfect person for him. I am ready to read book 2.
There was just something missing from this book. I think if we had more back story to Lucas mission it may have felt complete! It definitely picked up when the truth to everything came out but that was well near the end ! Will it stop me from reading more books from Jill Ramsower, hell no !! Off to Maria’s story now !!
Great for the busy mom or lonely single lady-steamy and exciting. Definitely great read if you like a good strong dangerous but honorable main male character!
I’m continuing down my Jill Ramsower rabbit hole, and devoured this one. I loved Luca and his obsession, I loved Alessia and how she pushed back against him. I enjoyed their dynamic, Luca’s intensity, and I can’t wait to dive into the next book!
From the quick quips from the characters to the overall plot I couldn’t put this one down. I even read it on my walk. I was worried a couple times during this book, it kept the thrill alive, made me angry for the main female, and I cried for her too.
