Only recently discovered Robert Crais and I have been reading the Elvis Cole novels in order. Elvis and Pike are a great team. Who doesn’t like a lovable smart ass. Reminds me a little of Myron Bolitar and Win from Harlan Coben who I also love to read. I’d start with book 1.
I just discovered Robert Crais recently with his book "The Hostage." I liked his writing style enough to look for more of his books and discovered the Elvis Cole and Joe Pike P.I. series. These books are interesting, well-paced, overall well written and I love the humor in Cole's character and interactions with others. I have been read mysteries of different sorts since I was a teenager and love finding new (to me) authors like Crais to read. Definitely recommend!
More quality writing from Crais
Elvis Cole and Joe Pike are always a good read. Hard to put down. Hope you enjoy as much as I do.
Good writing, good characters, very entertaining, lots of violence, lots of language. Cole investigates bad cops with the help of Pike.
