This fast-paced thriller about a girl who investigates her friend's disappearance during their cruise ship vacation is Ruth Ware's The Woman in Cabin 10 for teens--and it's a paperback original!
When Izzy meets Jade on a cruise to Bermuda, her new daredevil friend turns Izzy's boring family vacation into the trip of a lifetime. Until Jade goes missing.
The investigators claim Jade fell overboard, but Izzy knows better. Her friend had secrets--secrets that might have gotten her killed. As Izzy digs deeper into Jade's disappearance, she realizes that someone doesn't want her to find the truth. And if she's not careful, Izzy might not get off this ship alive.

Over all I enjoyed this book. I like the way it kept me interested in what could possibly happen next. Lots of twist and turns with some humor. I felt as if I was on a carnival cruise π’.The feel of the book and pages felt kind of weird compared to other books that I have read lol. The pages felt cheap..π€£
This book was something a middle schooler would read for a summer read. It was an easy book to read and not that engaging.
I really enjoyed this book! Izzy dreaded going on the cruise with her family and leaving her boyfriend, but when she boarded, she quickly became friends with Jade, who also didnβt want to be there. Izzy, and more quiet and bookwormish , while Jade is more on the adventurous and wild side, but they clicked and started hanging out. But when Jade disappears , the speculations begin. Was it suicide? Was the tales of the ships curse more than a tale, or is there something more sinister going on. Izzy, has her own beliefs and it doesnβt matter what everyone else says, she is determined to find out what happened to her friendβ¦.but at what cost?
Girl Overboard was a quick read for me and it did keep my interest. The ending felt a tad bit rushed, but it all came together.A mention of Doris Day in any book gets bonus points from me!3.75 stars!
Girl Overboard is a solid 3 star read for me. Thereβs really nothing wrong with the story aside from the believability and I read it in one sitting. Itβs fast faced, has a good mystery, and is perfect for summer as it takes place on a cruise. I donβt think Iβve ever read a book with this setting either which is one of the main reasons I wanted to read it! If youβve enjoyed THE WOMAN IN CABIN 10 by Ruth Ware and are looking for a young adult version of that then this would be the perfect summer read for you!π£ππ₯ππππ§ ππ’π₯ πππ‘π¦ π’π:β’ YA Mysteriesβ’ Books set on Cruisesβ’ Summer Themed Readsπ π¬ π₯ππ§ππ‘π: βββ
