Charlie has done it again! He always keeps you guessing, engaged, and being from Wisconsin myself and living in the Midwest, it makes it more personal in a way. Too many nights staying up binge reading because I didnβt want to put it down. Canβt wait for his next book!!
It is impossible to put any of Mr. Donleaβs books down, this one included. Be prepared to get no sleep once you start Guess Again.
I have yet to read a disappointing Donlea novel, and this one is no exception. Solid plot, interesting characters and great pacing, as per usual. The only slight complaint I might have is the super short chapters are a bit distracting, like a James Patterson novel. I'm not sure if that's a tool to make the plot feel like it's moving faster, but it's unnecessary. Like I said, a slight complaint. This is a must read!
Many twists and turns and so worth it. Ate this one up in 24hrs and cannot recommend it enough. Absolutely brilliant
In the newest Donela suspense, former federal agent turned doctor, Ethan Hall, is pulled out of "retirement" by his old partner and the governor to find out what happened to the politico's teenage daughter years ago. Did she runaway? Was she kidnapped? trafficked? What happened?Reluctantly, Ethan takes the case. At the same time, the man who killed his father comes up for parole, and Ethan's speech at the hearing assures the man stays in prison. Then, the twists and turns begin. The prisoner states he has info on the case Ethan is working and will trade it for a deal.I hate spoilers, so I won't go into what happens, but because this is a Charlie Donlea book you can assured there are twists, turns, and spirals all along the way until the last page.Another winner from one of my one-click authors.5 stars from me. Hit every button I like to hit when I read suspense/thrillers.
