This Christmas, it's all about getting what you really want in this dark billionaire stalker romance sequel to He Sees You When You're Sleeping.
Stalking in a winter wonderland...
Jewelry designer Sloane dreams of launching her own custom line--but she needs a Christmas miracle to pull it off. With traditional banks turning her down left and right, she can't resist when a mysterious stranger offers her a lifeline.
I see what she creates in those stolen moments when she thinks no one's watching. I see everything. There's a darkness at her core and I will unravel her until I find it.
Reclusive billionaire Cole Asher offers to fly Sloane out to an ultra-luxurious Swiss resort for a meeting. Reluctantly, she agrees--only to realize she's met him once before in a New York bar.
She is crucial to my plans, and I need her close. She insists that we keep things professional, and I comply. But soon she will realize that every line is blurred when it comes to her and me.
Cole offers to back her company--but there's a cost. To secure his investment, Sloane must move into his Manhattan penthouse, where she'll complete her first round of designs for him to review before Christmas.
Sloane throws herself into her work, yet soon the attraction between her and Cole becomes undeniable. As the city sparkles with Christmas splendor from her penthouse view, Sloane wonders if she has stepped into a fairy tale--until Cole's powerful enemies close in. They will stop at nothing to destroy him, including going after the woman he loves.
I will burn down the world to get her back...and it will be in time for Christmas.

Sloane and Cole are hands down my favorite out of the Naughty or Nice novels. I loved their set up and the storyline. I’m a hard sell on billionaire romance and this one checked all the boxes.
Thank you to Net Galley and Avon & Harper Voyager for my ALC & ARC.What to expect❤️stalker romance❤️ billionaire MMC❤️ jewelry artist FMC❤️ forced proximity❤️ morally grey MMC❤️ holiday romance❤️ Dual POV 🎧I enjoying this one a lot more than the first one. This book was more focused on the plot than romance but it was still enjoyable. This book has a lot less stalking than the first book which was nice. I loved that this book was more of a slow burn. I enjoyed that it was not a Christmas based book; it just had certain holiday moments.I really enjoyed that the Sloane was a strong FMC with boundaries and a drive to be successful. I enjoy that Cole was strong and protective and tried to do the right things for Sloane.I think the narrator’s fit these characters better than the first book. I preferred Rock Engle's ability to narrate the female voice from Cole's POV more than I did Jillian Macie's male voice. If you are looking for a dark, steamy, stalker, holiday romance book you should definitely read this!
Alta Hensley is on my permanent author nice list with her second Naughty or Nice novel! After listening to He Sees You When You’re Sleeping, I was excited to find He Knows When You’re Awake audiobook, and it did not disappoint! He Knows When You're Awake: A Naughty or Nice Novel audiobook delivers its a stalkerish dark romance but manages to maintain being light hearted in a way with the slight comedic undertone.Rock Engle absolutely nails Cole, our morally gray billionaire stalker MMC. His voice radiates that smooth control and dark intrigue perfectly. Jillian did a great job as well. Her narration for Cole in her scenes were on point! making him edgier and slightly darker. IYKYK!Cole and Sloane meet by “accident” after a spilled drink in a bar. He’s instantly captivated by her jewelry designs and the stories behind them. When she mentions her new line, Midnight Frost, has a BDSM-inspired edge, his interest intensifies.Sloane’s desperate to break free from her current job and create jewelry she truly loves, but with denied loan applications and a failed resignation, she’s running out of options. Then comes a mysterious email: a potential investor inviting her to a luxury resort in Switzerland to pitch her collection. It sounds like a dream, or a beautifully wrapped trap.Cole’s plan is meticulous. He’s been watching, waiting, and planning his move. He offers her unimaginable compensation, unlimited resources, and her own studio- but what's the catch? Only if she agrees to move into his penthouse, work under video surveillance, and deliver her collection by New Year’s Eve. Oh That's all huh?!But what exactly does the man who plans everything want from this arrangement? As Sloane tries to keep things professional with forced proximity, undeniable chemistry, and an unraveling that’s both sweet and spicy; what could possibly go wrong? This is a light-hearted stalker romance, think stalker rom-com more than true dark romance. Fun, flirty, and filthy, with a holiday sparkle that makes it a perfect festive binge for readers who like their Christmas stories with a side of dominance.Alta Hensley delivers a festive, fast-paced romance full of tension, possession, and genuine care, with just the right amount of holiday flare. If you haven't read or listened to He sees you when you're sleeping.... Please do so.
this book felt virtually identical to the first one in the series: fun at times and very much cozy vibes, but overall missing something. i once again enjoyed the main characters, Sloane and Cole, but felt as though they had little to no depth to them. i’m not typically a hater of third act breakups, as i think they can be incredibly powerful when done right; however, the third act breakup in this book was ridiculous and unnecessary, as it was quite literally resolved within 10 pages. it did nothing for the story and ultimately just made the whole thing even more unrealistic. i also felt as though the ending was rushed… this may be related to the farfetched and underdeveloped plot, but ultimately upon finishing it, i just didn’t feel that sense of fulfillment that i tend to look for in a good book. on a more positive note, i really did love Sloane and Cole’s relationship dynamic. i love a man who changes for the better for his woman, and this book delivered exactly that. alongside the romance, i really did love how this book honed in more on Chloe and Sloane’s friendship. i felt like we did not get enough of them in the first book, which almost made their bond feel surface level, so this book completely changed my perspective on their friendship in the best way!! despite the seemingly large amount of things that i disliked about this book, i actually did enjoy my time reading it. it was fast paced, and similar to book one in the series, it really did make a great read for the holiday season!!
He Knows When You’re Awake was such a great dark holiday romance. Sloane is an up and coming jewelry designer and Cole is the reclusive, morally grey, obsessive billionaire who stalks her. They were the perfect example of opposites attract, and their chemistry was top tier. Sloan tried so hard not to blur the lines between professional and personal, but Cole makes it impossible when he moves her into his penthouse and is always there. He makes it his mission in life to give her whatever she wants and to make her fall in love with him, and watching her slowly give in to him was absolutely delicious. On top of all of that, there was also a suspense element as Cole dealt with the looming threat of his old business partner, who had made it his life’s mission to destroy Cole and everything he cares about. It took the tension from the forced proximity romance and ratcheted everything up until you couldn’t wait to find out what happened next. The audiobook was narrated by Rock Engle and Jillian Macie, and I can’t recommend it enough. They voiced these characters perfectly, and brought this high stakes dark Christmas romance to life in such a fun way!📔He Knows When You’re Awake✏️ Alta Hensley📆 Nov 4, 2025⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️READ IF YOU LIKE:dark holiday romantic suspensestalker romancebillionairemorally grey heroopposites attractforced proximitydual POV
