This Christmas, could the cowboy from her past unlock the key to her future?
When Landry King shows up at Four Corners Ranch with Lila, the teenage daughter no one ever knew he had, it sets the gossip mill churning. Landry's daughter has lost her adoptive parents and is in desperate need of a new family. So this Christmas, the untamed cowboy is finally getting the chance to become the father he could never have been when Lila was born. Even if it means dealing with his other biggest regret...
Fia Sullivan hates Landry King. That's how it's always been. At least, that's how it's been since their dramatic teenage love affair ended in a way that shattered their hearts and left them with wounds that never healed. When Landry dredges up her most agonizing secret, Fia's devastated...and also overjoyed at the possibility of the new life they could have. But there's only so long she can be near Landry before their simmering desire reignites. Can they finally overcome their past pain to find new love--and new family--this Christmas?

Good light reading. I have just discovered Maisey Yates in full length books. Enjoyed this holiday romance.
Massey always makes me happy after finishing her books.I’ve always s liked cowboy love novels, she is wonderful. Post my comment.
I say that because most fans of Maisey Yates will probably pour over every word and enjoy every introspection of the main characters regardless of the repetitive nature of the content. I found skipping through these many many passages that essentially I had read before in so many ways.....did not short me on the success of entire story nor the sweetness of the ending. If it had been a shorter book for me, would have been better. Not a novella, but way shorter.
Landry King was expecting a quiet cowboy Christmas—not instant fatherhood. But when he finds out that Lila, the teenage daughter he never knew about, suddenly needs him, his world turns upside down. And just when he thinks things can’t get any more complicated, Fia Sullivan, his high school sweetheart, is back in his life. Years ago, young love led to big decisions and even bigger heartbreak, but now, with Lila needing both of them, they have to figure out how to navigate co-parenting, unresolved feelings, and a Christmas neither of them saw coming. This book is full of emotion, second chances, and small-town charm. Landry and Fia’s history makes their relationship so much more layered, and watching them go from heartbreak to healing is chef’s kiss. The setting of Four Corners Ranch brings all the cozy, close-knit community feels, and while the story leans a little heavier on the emotional side, there’s enough holiday warmth to balance it out. If you’re new to the series, you can absolutely jump in with this book, but if you’ve read the earlier ones, you’ll appreciate the deeper connections to the town and side characters.I’m giving “Hero for the Holidays” 4 out of 5 stars! It’s got heart, holiday magic, and just enough cowboy charm to keep things engaging and emotional without being too heavy.
Another in the Four Corners Ranch series, in which Landry King bring his daughter (previously adopted as a newborn by a couple who have since died) home to the Four Corners Ranch when he is contacted by the foster care worker. Now he's got to contact the woman who birthed the child 13 years earlier, but how is Fia Sullivan going to react? Landry has no clue and isn't sure he wants to find out, but Lila deserves to know her birth mother. So begins a gradual working through of the pain both Landry and Fia experienced after the secret birth of that child and how each has moved through their respective lives since then. Now their lives revolve around the girl they both adore, but will this mean they also get together in ways they didn't dare as young teenagers themselves?
