This novella has to be read in the order of the series and cannot be read on its own.To say I love this cast of characters would be an understatement, so I was super excited to be reunited with them. Each character is very fleshed out and unique, and I love seeing their personalities come through in every interaction.I love everything about Adalyn Grace's writing. She has a gift for truly transporting you into this gothic and magical world, and I felt like I was right there with all of the characters.This is a snack of a novella and has the same spirit and mystery themes that were carried throughout the rest of the series. I would consider this book predictable in a cozy, comfort-read sort of way, and I enjoyed every second of this book. I didn't want it to end.There were a few scenes that actually had me tearing up, which is a testament to Adalyn Grace's talent for writing captivating stories.The ending has me SO excited—is Adalyn Grace teasing a spin off series??? I really hope so because I love this universe so much.
