Which would you choose: kiss, marry, or kill?
When three best friends and founders of a health and wellness app on the verge of hitting the big time play a spin on the game of "kiss, marry, kill" at their company's summer outing, they wake up the next morning in an alternate universe to discover they've each done just that.
Kiss: In the "real world," quiet, indecisive Aubrey is heartbroken over things ending with her fiancΓ©. In the new reality ushered in by the game, Aubrey finds herself in bed, naked, next to their company's newly hired graphic designer.
Marry: Practical, straight-laced Ilena, on the brink of a divorce following a stressful struggle with infertility, wakes up six months pregnant and married to their company's general counsel.
Kill: Mallory's philosophy is to ask neither forgiveness nor permission. Yet the reckless behavior of their biggest investor crosses lines even Mallory didn't know she had. Especially since she's been secretly sleeping with him for the past year. She's mad enough to kill. But in this world, he's already dead.
Told alternately from the perspectives of these three best friends, this Sliding Doors-esque story explores the nuances of ambition, the power of female friendship, and the many facets of love in our lives, ultimately asking: Do our choices define us, or do we define our choices?

Kiss, Marry, Kill is smart, funny, surprising, and genuinely moving. It takes a wildly fun premise and turns it into something much richer: a sharp, heartfelt story about friendship, ambition, love, regret, and the strange paths our lives might have taken. The characters feel real, the dialogue crackles, and the emotional payoff sneaks up on you in the best possible way. If you want something infinitely readable and thought-provoking this is it.This is a book that should make everyone's list. I canβt wait for more readers to discover this gem.
OMGGGGGG this book was ABSOLUTELY INSANE.It had romance, friendship, scifi, relateable characters, mystery, business politics, and CHAOS.The book is told through three perspectives that are a group of best friends and business partners. I love that the author went into the dynamic of three best friends because honestly two friends in a group of three are always going to be closer and the third member will kinda be on her own. I loved how the author handled this dynamic and went into what needs to be done in order for that to work. I also loved the relationship struggles that this author examined through the characters and it felt so relatable and addicting to read.Overall, what an amazing read. I loved it.
If all of Laurie Goldβs books are anything like this one, I may have accidentally discovered a new auto-buy author. The amount of layering packed into this story genuinely blew my mind. It felt like someone took a lasagna, threw in hedge maze energy, added multiverse chaos, and somehow made it all work together perfectly. I kept finding myself wondering how this story even existed inside someoneβs head before it made it onto paper because the complexity behind what was happening felt massive. There are so many moving pieces, so many threads being pulled at once, and somehow none of it collapses under its own weight.Between multiple POVs, multiple timelines, and constant jumps backward and forward, this absolutely should have confused me more than it did. Sometimes weβre jumping back years, sometimes hours, sometimes days, and thereβs almost no linear path to followβbut somehow it all clicks together by the end. Reading this felt like staring at one of those conspiracy theory boards covered in sticky notes and colored string trying to connect everything together. Somehow, against all odds, every connection eventually made sense. I inhaled this book in a single day because once I started, there was absolutely no chance I was putting it down.
Kiss, Marry, Kill had such a unique premise that I was instantly hooked. Three best friends and founders of a successful wellness app wake up in an alternate reality after jokingly playing a version of βkiss, marry, kill,β and suddenly the choices they made have become real. The alternating perspectives kept the story moving quickly, and I really enjoyed seeing how different Aubrey, Ilena, and Mallory were while still being deeply connected through friendship and ambition. Each woman brought something different emotionally, whether it was heartbreak, marriage struggles, or reckless decision-making.This book definitely had me constantly wondering what was going to happen next, and I flew through it because of that. The mix of friendship drama, romance, ambition, and suspense worked really well together. My only small issue was that the ending left me wanting a little more closure. Even so, this was an entertaining and engaging read with a very clever concept.
Finished this book in a week. Fast paced with lots of interesting twists and turns-three strong, successful women, business partners and best friends, grappling with how their choices shape their realities, and what can happen when different versions of those realities collide.
