As I get closer to the end of this series, I wonder how much more Joe can take. That guy is tough!
C.J Box shows how great he is as an author yet again. This book has a ton of twists and turns. As always, the characters and the setting are paramount, but the plot is so riveting that it takes charge. You really don’t know where it’s going and that keeps you on edge. Joe and Nate, complimented by Marybeth are a great team. My only issue would be that the Talbot/bear attack part of the plot was left unsettled. Hopefully that gets addressed in a future book. As always though, this series hits all the right notes.

Complicated and fascinating. C. J. Box is gold standard; I can't get enough of his writing. And on we go.
C. J Box has done it again. What is great about the Joe Pickett books is you don’t have to read them in order. Read one & you get the main characters & can skip around the series. Joe is a likable park ranger with a wife & 3 girls he’s attached too. Always a great who done it mystery out in the Wyoming territory. This one Long Range, I couldn’t put down. It’s a real page turner.
