"This book has it all. Humor, heart, and a heroine I was desperately rooting for. Kirsty Greenwood has a new fan!"
--Colleen Hoover, New York Times bestselling author

A recently deceased woman meets "the one" in the afterlife waiting room, scoring a second chance at life (and love!) if she can find him on earth before ten days are up...

If she wasn't dead already, Delphie would be dying of embarrassment. Not only did she just die by choking on a microwaveable burger, but now she's standing in her 'shine like a star' nightie in front of the hottest man she's ever seen. And he's smiling at her.

As they start to chat, everything else becomes background noise. That is until someone comes running out of a door, yelling something about a huge mistake, and sends the dreamy stranger back down to earth. And here Delphie was thinking her luck might be different in the afterlife.

When Delphie is offered a deal in which she can return to earth and reconnect with the mysterious man, she jumps at the opportunity to find her possible soulmate and a fresh start. But in a city of millions, Delphie is going to have to listen to her heart, learn to ask for help, and perhaps even see the magic in the life she's leaving behind...

A Thoughtful and Unique Read

I really enjoyed the concept and emotional themes explored in Love and the Afterlife. The story was original and kept me engaged. Some parts were slower than others, and a few characters could have been more developed, but overall it was a meaningful and touching read. Worth picking up if you're into love stories with a spiritual twist.

Tropes and trials!

This book was amazing! If you have ever wondered how small changes can make a big impact on a life, wonder no more. Delphie is given a second chance, and while she pursues one goal, so many other little miracles happen along the way until she finds herself very different in the end. I laughed so much at her antics with Cooper, her care for Mr. Yoon, and the other characters she becomes more aware of and grows to care for. I didn’t guess all the twists either, which was great! I like a surprise! This book left me feeling hopeful, happy, and inspired to see what dreams I could make real in my own life with a little effort!

A charming and tender romp

A cute and clever, whimsical delight of a read. I saw this title on a listicle on 'Must Read' romance and I was sold on this unique premise of having a 10 day pass from death to find your soulmate. What follows is awkward and funny misadventures with a growing cast of characters. While the story is a bit of a "fish-out-of-water" romp, it's also pretty touching and tender. Our FMC Delphi is lonely, lonely in a way that breaks your heart because it's loneliness that isn't bitter or jaded, but just totally accepting that this is all life is for her because it is truly all she's really ever known. These passing thoughts in her narration show a girl who has never really had a birthday celebration or gone out to dinner with friends, or even has friends. To be given a quest to find the love of your life, you also have to imagine having anyone at all in your life, and how much that act can change your entire life. It is what's at the heart of this book.It is a sweet, fast-pace read with lots of humor, a bit of spice, and loads of romance tropes backed in there pointedly. I am team Delphi, now.
