Icing on the cake! Weaving back and forth between Susan's world and the fictional world of Pune is a delight. Hope this is not the end of a series using Susan. Couldn't put the book down once I get hooked
I was so fortunate to have bought this book the day before I came down with the flu. It saw me through 7 days in bed, opening its pages and helping me to get lost. Today is Day 8. The flu is gone and Marble Hall has shut its doors. Thank you Anthony Horowitz! You never disappoint.
I love this series. Such fun to read. I always guess some but not all the details to the cases and the reveals are so satisfying. Top notch murder mysteries! I think this one is my favorite in the series 😊.
In the third book in the Susan Ryeland murder mysteries, she has moved back to London and resumed her editing career. She was hired to edit a continuation novel featuring Artemis Pund written by Elliot, a troubled young man from a famous family. But Elliot has a hidden agenda: to turn the thinly disguised members of his dysfunctional family into murder suspects. But Susan' s attempts to turn Elliott from this reckless path leads to enmity and murder.Susan Ryeland is an intelligent, empathetic, insightful character with a strong moral compass. Watching her solve a 20 year old makes for an engrossing read.
I had the most fun with this book. The mystery novel within another mysterynovel was done in such a masterful way. The main characters were sointeresting and the plot twists were so intriguing. I had seen the other twodouble-mysteries in the series on PBS and I must confess that Leslie Manville’sbrilliant performance stayed with me as I read the third in this series.
