Great read! I loved the family history more than anything. I reminds me of my deep family history. Keep being great Badass Tenie B!
Tina speaks her truth! She’s a powerful, but layered soul! We’ll done! I love a boss!
Matriarch offers a comprehensive look at Tina Knowles’ life, beginning with her childhood and carrying through to the present day. She shares openly about her struggles and challenges, not only in marriage and motherhood, but also as the mother of an international megastar. The book details the misunderstandings, injustices, and challenges her family faced, from her early years through her daughter’s rise to fame. While some critiques suggest the book is centered on Beyoncé, I feel Tina did an excellent job telling the story from her own perspective. By the final chapters, I was left with a deep sense of empathy for both Tina and Solange. This is not just a celebrity memoir. It is a relatable account of resilience, family dynamics, and personal growth. Any woman working to balance the roles of wife and mother will likely find value in Tina’s honesty and perspective.
this was such a heartfelt story and Tina tells us so much about her and her life. you learn so much and view things in a different light. MUST READ if you are a Beyoncé fan!
Amazing book, thank you Ms. Tina for giving us a glimpse into YOUR story.
