This book was so interesting and fun to read!
What a charming Christmas short story! Molly Gray and her boyfriend, Juan Manuel, are celebrating their fifth Christmas together, and each year, Juan adds a new tradition. The first year, Juan resurrect Gran's Advent calendar tradition by stocking the calendar with daily treasures designed just for Molly. For example: silver thimble, a turndown chocolate from the Regency Grand, jingle bells, Mistletoe, a snow globe of the Regency Grand,... Next, the second year, Juan and Molly bake Christmas cookies. The following year, Juan decorates their apartment window with Christmas lights. Last year, they take a ride in a holiday carriage (which actually is a discarded children's sleigh). Finally, this year, they purchase a live Christmas tree for the first time. I enjoyed reading about their wonderful Christmas traditions and the emphasis on Molly and Juan's affectionate and devoted relationship. My only complaint is the "mystery" part of the book is definitely lacking from this novella. Anyway, I would certainly recommend this book to anyone searching for a light, enjoyable, heartwarming Christmas story.
I love Molly and all her family and friends, I miss her gran too. Even though she is on the spectrum and she is doing great, there needs to be some therapy to get her to idk, interact with her world better. She assumes so much without seeking advice from her family or friends. It gets frustrating
Not your usual mystery - At first I thought this was going to be a tearjerker. Then I thought Molly needed to wake up and face reality. The more I got into the thick of things, it was me that needed to wake up (giggling here)! I enjoyed The Mistletoe Mystery very much. A light quick read that left me smiling☺️.
Charming little tale … perfect for Christmas and other times as well. Nita Prose is a gifted writer who I highly recommend.
