"Nonstop thrills! The best Feeney book yet!" --FREIDA MCFADDEN
Eden Fox, an artist on the brink of her big break, sets off for a run before her first exhibition. When she returns to the home she recently moved into, Spyglass, an enchanting old house in Hope Falls, nothing is as it should be. Her key doesn't fit. A woman, eerily similar to her, answers the door. And her husband insists that the stranger is his wife.
One house. One husband. Two women. Someone is lying.
Six months earlier, a reclusive Londoner called Birdy, reeling from a life-changing diagnosis, inherits Spyglass. This unexpected gift from a long-lost grandmother brings her to the pretty seaside village of Hope Falls. But then Birdy stumbles upon a shadowy London clinic that claims to be able to predict a person's date of death, including her own. Secrets start to unravel, and as the line between truth and lies blurs, Birdy feels compelled to right some old wrongs.
My Husband's Wife is a tangled web of deception, obsession, and mystery that will keep you guessing until the last page. Prepare yourself for the ultimate mind-bending marriage thriller and step inside Spyglass - if you dare - to experience a story where nothing is as it seems.

Alice Feeney has done it again. She pulled me in and held on tight to the very end. What you think you know is wrong, and where the twists and turns go are never where you thought theyβd end up. Iβd give anything to see the authorβs story board on this one. Itβs got to be massive! Loved it!
This book kept me on my toes the entire time. Just when I thought I figured it out the Author adds another plot twist. It was my first book by Alice Feeney and I definitely want to read more of her books.I enjoyed the writing and, of course, all the twists and turns. What a book! I enjoyed the different POVβs and I felt that kept the book more interesting. I just loved it! If youβre needing a new psychological thriller, you definitely need to add this to your TBR!
Totally crazy book, I really liked it. I started listening, then became so involved I downloaded the book.Thereβs Birdy who has a career that I had no idea what it was, she has cancer and itβs serious. Harrison is married to Eden, they move to Hope Falls and move into a home Birdy inherited from a grandmother she never knew. Birdy gets βinvolvedβ with Carter, the towns detective. Eden goes for a run one evening and coming home finds her key wonβt work in the door of HER house. It spirals from there, in crazy good ways. It ends with another twist I didnβt see coming. Very suspenseful and interesting.
I have read a couple of novels by Alice Freeney and enjoyed them thoroughly. I wasnβt specifically aware of this novel until someone recommended it to me. I read the book description and it sounded interesting so I moved it up to my number two spot on my TRL. I am so glad I did! Wow! What a fun read! The story starts with Eden Fox out for a run in their picturesque town near London. When she returns home, her key doesnβt unlock their door. Whatβs even worse, is the person who answers the door is a woman she doesnβt know, claiming to be married to her husband. When her husband, Harrison comes to the door he also doesnβt recognize her and asks her to leave. This is the foundation for a story that has roots that run deep, generations, deep deep. We are soon introduced to the main characters Sgt. Carter and Birdy. They are both extremely likable, but each have a hidden mysterious past.I do all my reading on my Kindle app. One of the things I like about this app is I can make notes wherever I want and easily find them after I finish the book. I donβt think Iβve ever made so many guesses and a book and all of them were wrong.Such a good story. If you like psychological suspense, thrillers, or just plain being riveted read this today.
My Husbandβs Wife by Alice Feeney was not exactly what I was expecting, but it definitely delivered on mystery and deception. The story follows multiple characters and perspectives, which is a unique setup. You hear from Eden β the woman who is supposedly locked out of her own life and home β Harrison, the husband, Birdy, the detective, and Carter, the sergeant. Each chapter builds on the last but from a different characterβs point of view. I constantly found myself questioning who Eden really was β or who she could be.The chapters are short, making this a fast and easy read. While many thrillers rely heavily on action, this one focuses more on unraveling secrets and figuring out who Eden Fox truly is and what happened to her. Each chapter is labeled with a name (and sometimes a date), which adds to the suspense and keeps you guessing. There were a few coincidences that made parts of the story feel a little far-fetched β especially having two women claiming to be Eden Fox who closely resembled one another β but I was still fully invested in seeing how everything connected. The last 50 pages really helped solidify how the entire story was tied together. That final chapter absolutely threw me and left me genuinely shocked.Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It has more of a police-investigation mystery feel, with layered perspectives from law enforcement and other key characters. If you enjoy twisty mysteries with lots of secrets and shifting points of view, this is definitely worth the read. Just be prepared to pay close attention!
