He enlists Wynn's help to make sure his daughter is comfortable with him for her stay.I enjoyed this audio book. The narrators did a wonderful job of conveying the story. I love Susan Mallery's books and look forward to her next book.

Wynn is a single mom just doing her own thing. Garrick is a single dad of an adult child and a cop. He asks Wynn to help him decorate his house for the visit of his pregnant daughter. I loved their story and it was heartwarming to read their journey.Next one is about a princess who hides her identity. But she learns to find love no matter who or what she is. She learns to live a life that is fully hers.If you like cozy romances, this collection is great!
Once Upon a Holidate is a compilation of novel Happily This Christmas paired with novella A Very Merry Princess by Susan Mallery. Both stories are set in Ms. Mallery’s fictional California town of Happily Inc.Wynn Beauchene is approached by her neighbor police officer Garrick McCabe to help him ready his home for the extended visit of his pregnant daughter for the duration of her husband’s deployment. This lovely story tells about the mending of the father/daughter relationship while a new relationship blooms between neighbors.The second story tells how Princess Bethany comes to bring a prized stallion to Happily Inc. only to fall in love with the place and the people.Both stories are well told with well written characters in a lovely setting. I did enjoy this anthology and do recommend it.
This edition is bait and switch. There are no new stories. It's just two old stories put together. Very disappointed that the author didn't write a new Christmas novel this year.
This has two books in one: The first book is Happily This ChristmasWhat a feel good book. It has all the feel good things a Christmas story should have. It starts off with two people that live next door to each other. Wynn and Garrick. Garrick is a police officer in the small town of Happily Inc. Wynn runs her own company and is raising her son Hunter by herself.Garrick knocks on her door and asks if she could help him make his house a warm and cozy place for Joylynn to move in and feel welcome. Wynn felt like saying no, only because she was thinking to herself, damn he has a girlfriend. Unfortunately,she said this out loud. He stopped her and said no she is my daughter and she is married and 21.Once Joylynn got to her father's house she felt as if she wasn't welcome there or anywhere. Her mother threw her out of her house her husband was deployed and this pregnancy was taking way too much out of her and now she was stuck with this man who had not wanted anything to do with her after he had moved out of the house. She wasn't in the forgiving mood either. she went to her room and slammed the door and cried.Garrick had no idea how to reach his daughter. He thought maybe given time would help and maybe talking to her except he couldn't ever get close enough to her to hold a conversation with her. Garrick kept asking advice from Wynn and she kept giving it. As the story goes they fall in love and things go from there.Second book is A Very Merry ChristmasBethany is a true Princess after her mother married a King. She has trouble with all that implies. After all the part about being a Royal isn't something she signed up for.She ends up going to Happily Inc and pretends to be a horse trainer and a stable hand just so she can appear to be normal and so she may get closer to Cade.Both books are warm and cozy reads and I give high marks to Susan Mallery as she knows how to sculpt beautifully written books!Thank you to NetGalley and to Harlequin Audio for the early read.This is a review of the audiobook.
