Kane Easton isn't friend material.
He's a master manipulator.
No one understands why I give him such a hard time.
They can't see past his flawless exterior, but I know he's keeping a secret-
something he'll protect with absolute ruthlessness.
He thinks I'll fall in line with the rest of Xavier High.
Believes he can kiss me into submission.
He has no idea what he's up against.
I may be the youngest Genovese, but I've learned from my family.
I'll make Kane regret the day he ever crossed my path.

A Note from the Author: For those of you who are new to me, I write what I'd call "mafia lite." My heroes are hardened criminals with soft spots for their heroines. There may be violence and cruelty in my books, but never between the main characters. Enjoy!

This whole series was amazing! I am so happy I found it when I did. I will say I did see the twist but was wrong on which one he worked for. I am so glad that every5hing worked out the way it did. Getting to meet Connor was so good at the end and Giana and her smart mouth “first it’s the cartel and then the fed and now the Irish. We are like Rudolph’s land of misfit toys”, best quote in the series! 🤣
I would have given a 5 star rating, however they're were some parts I didn't particularly care for. The book is supposed to be about Kane ❤ Valentina's story, but instead the author chose to add the side character's POV which took away from the main couple which I did not like. Then instead of the author writing a bonus epilogue about the main couple (Kane & Valentina) she writes a bonus part for the side characters as if the book was about their story and just focusing on them which really annoyed me. Also, the steamy sexual scenes were only a few and they were brief and rushed which was not enjoyable. This book had a lot of potential, but unfortunately the author ruined that by mainly focusing on the side characters and it wasn't even their story. I had hoped this book would be much better, but I was sorely disappointed 🙁
This one was a little more tame than some of her other books but still so good. Read it in a day!!
This was the perfect ending for The Genovese family & beginning of them with the Irish. Valentina & Kane are perfect as well as Reyna & Santino. The security company is going to be a smash.
I throughly enjoyed this book. It kept you interested enough about the true identity of Kane and the sweet loyal friendship of Valentine and Reyna. It had me laughing and smiling at some of the interactions of the sisters and especially their first meeting of their big brother.I’d already read about the Byrne family and was immediately intrigued about Connor being the brother and how he found out about his new family. Needless to say, I also enjoyed the book about Connor and Naomi’s relationship and how it began.
