With dangerous secrets lurking behind every lead, Elvis needs his friend Joe Pike more than ever to uncover the truth about Josh, corrupt politicians, and the vicious business cartels rotting the heart of Los Angeles from within. And when Elvis's estranged girlfriend, Lucy Chenier, and her son, Ben, return, he learns just how much he has to lose...if he survives.
Written with the heart, humor, and relentless suspense for which Crais is famous, Racing the Light delivers Elvis Cole's most dangerous case yet.

Typical Robert Crais spell binding plot. Great character development. More bad guys than you can shake a stick at, to coin a phrase
I’m so bummed that this is the next the last novel in the series. I can only hope that Robert Crais will write some more, because already I’m beginning to miss these characters. Elvis is the perfect balance between cool cat and sensitive guy. He loves to cook, never washes his Corvette, And falls in love too easily. Joe Pike is the ultimate Nate Romanowski. If you know who I’m talking about then you too are a Joe Pickett fan and have enjoyed reading about Joe and Nate for 20+ novels. The plots are great, the dialogue is snappy, And Crais’ style evoked constant smiles, and sometimes outright laughter. I’m going to wait a while before reading the last novel, because I just want them to go on and on. Crais has created magic, characters that are more than just names in a novel, but friends, personal friends at that.
I love all of Cole and Pike's adventures, fun reads. Can't wait to read #20 which I already downloaded. Keep writing RC !
Great story
