I loved this story. I loved the raw realness of these 2 flawed MC’s and I loved the absolute devotion of both characters!Torin, the MMC, so scared of letting anyone in, but doing it for the woman he loves. He is the definition of grumpy and broody. He is perfectly dominant but gentle towards the FMC’s feelings. He took charge in a way that demands attention, but shows so much control. He took care of all the FMC’s lingering fear and needs. It was so precious to see his Mount Everest walls falling down!Stormy, the FMC, on the run, scared, but still determined not to be a victim of circumstance. She kept her sunshiny personality even though she went through a traumatic life. I can learn A LOT from her! She was fierce in her own way, and she was soooo loving that she put others above herself constantly. But even though she did that, the MMC made sure she was ALWAYS taken care of.They were perfect for each other!Also, it was fun seeing some mafia business in action without it being extremely gross and overly detailed. It was perfect!I highly recommend this series!!

This one is a 3.5⭐️ for me as well. I think my issue is the women in this series… I don’t think I really like any of them. The plot is decent, and the men are good, but the women are lacking.
Tor gosh I knew I'd like him but Goddess do I LOVE ❤️ 😍 him he's a grumpy arsehat with a giant squishy center. He's grumbly in all the best ways. Stormy my sweet sweet darling you went thru so much and still managed to be so full of sunshine. It was nice to see our family from the last books. I'm with Tor the payment plan for the scales of justice should have been much longer with a higher percentage rate 😈 but i get it he's the attentiveness king so he had his priorities straight. These Byrne men are 🥵🥰🥵🥰🥵🥰
This was such an exciting story! I loved the characters and suspense! I can't wait to read the next one!!
