A quick read that will leave you thinking and wondering about humanity and mankind and what happened so many years ago. So many children, so very many……..
Wow, what a story, mesmerizing from beginning to end and so many lessons about good and evil to contemplate.

Small Things Like These is a profound little novella that sheds light on one of Ireland's darkest historical eras, yet still manages to leave the reader with a glimmer of hope. It centers on a heavy question: if you had the chance to do the right thing at a massive personal cost, would you? Or would you turn a blind eye to protect yourself and your family?It is an incredibly thought-provoking and provocative read, to the point where I found myself resisting the very questions it asks. Pondering them forces you to look closely at yourself, your identity, and what you would actually do when facing down injustice. It’s a powerful piece of writing that stays with you, even if the uncomfortable self-reflection it demands made it a complicated, 3-star reading experience for me.
