I don't understand the comments questioning Diems smarts because she isn't dumb...she was lied to and kept sheltered her whole life. She was given no answers and when the main person who kept those answers from her disappeared she went looking for them and found that not everything she was told is true and more often than not the biggest lies come from the ones we love. I cannot wait to see what happens next like DANG this was such a good read!!!
When people call this book, God- tier, they are not exaggerating. I devoured it in just a few days – it’s that good! The FMC is fiercely independent, headstrong, and completely in control of her own destiny which I absolutely loved. And that ending? A perfectly executed cliffhanger – *chef’s kiss*. I’m already buying book two. I highly recommend!
This book was so good. Im not normally a fantasy girly, but I couldn't put this book down. I will be starting the next one in the series as soon as I hit submit on this review.
WHY did I wait so long to read this book? Yes, it’s because I know there is a cliffhanger at the end of book 3 and no book 4 in sight but I should have read this sooner. I absolutely loved this book. It’s a great start to the series with captivating characters, an easy to read plot with layers and intrigue, and romance that had me swooning. The cliffhanger on book 1 is minimal where you’re more excited for more and there’s an exciting reveal.Read this if you’re in the mood for….- banter- rebellion- enemies-ish to lovers- hidden magic- he falls first- a tiny love triangleI get it. I get the Luther hype. I can’t wait for more of him and if they are what I think they are…I will lose my mind in the next book. I can’t wait for Diem to come into herself more. This was a great start for her character arc and I see so much room for her to grow!Here are a few of my favorite things….- Luther.- the healer training - can’t wait to see how that comes into play with her magic- the intrigue surrounding her family. I need to know moreOverall, I loved. I can’t wait to keep reading and I know I won’t be able to put them down
I really liked this book, it’s fun, exciting, brooding romance and action! Our heroine is a little on the naive side, it can get a little annoying. But she always pulls through for me, so I was really enjoying the story and vibe!
