While those around her are forced to relive the worst experience of their lives and the camp is turned into a hunting ground, Annie faces a haunting uncertainty-will she fall victim to this deranged killer, or will she defy the odds, emerging with her very own survival story, worthy of a proper inhabitant of Camp Safe Woods.

This may possibly be the perfect summer camp slasher🏕️🔪
⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3.5 StarsI felt this book had a slow start and took too long to get to the story, but once it did I really enjoyed it.
Ok so overall I really liked this book. I have two struggles, one it took awhile to get to the actual slasher part. The other is that with a slasher it’s important to be with most of the people when they die as that adds to the suspense! That said the book really picks up at the end! Another thing that was really intriguing about this one is that it is a summer camp for slasher victims and a few characters share the story of what happened to them in the past so you kind of get mini slashers throughout! Also I figured out the killer early on but it was still intriguing getting through the book and there were twists even up to the very end! Plus a lot of the characters are really likeable so that made it enjoyable as well! A good book, and even with my struggles I would still recommend this read to those who enjoy slashers!
Annie is working at her grandfather’s camp for the summer. It’s not your usual summer camp though. This is a summer camp for those who survived traumatic violent events. Things started happening around camp. Will Annie survive her first year as a camp counselor or will she be a victim? It was a fast-paced book. I have to mention after the prologue you probably think nothing is going to happen during the book to tie into the prologue but trust me you won’t be bored and eventually the prologue will tie into the last 150 or less in the book. Listening to the camper's survivor stories will keep you entertained. I was leaning towards who the killer was, and I was correct, but the killer’s motive was surprisingly different then I thought. I highly recommend it to others.
It was an okay book, very predictable though. I wonder if that was supposed to be the point though. Like imagine Scream set at Camp Crystal Lake.
