"It's been fifteen years since Lucy Sinclair saw her father. Fifteen long years since she sat in a courtroom and watched him sentenced to life in prison. He murdered three victims--all people she knew--which ruined her life at just seventeen. But now she's back in Virginia to talk to him, wondering if there's more to the story of what happened that fateful night. An old flame, Ford Wagner, makes his own return to North Hampton Beach, fleeing a marriage that seems destined for divorce. He's wary of Lucy and her digging into the past, but the more time they spend together, the closer they get and the more he finds himself reconsidering the truth behind the death of their mutual friend that summer. Problem is, there are plenty of those in this small coastal town who would prefer things stay quiet"--

Fun summer read. There were some plot twists that kept me engaged and the characters were explored well. I would recommend this book!
Loved this book! It reminds of a Hallmark movie!
If you are looking for a summer read, then this is the book you should get--today! A little bit of everything is whats in a Brenda Novak book. And I have read many of her books. This one did not disappoint, it has a little bit mystery, romance and a whole lot of intrigue. Lucy returns home and tries to prove her fathers innocence while running into an old flame, Ford who helps her. A real page turner that keeps your interest and you just dont want it to end. This might be my favorite book by Novak but then again I have said that about all her books!
Nothing like reading on the front porch during the summer. Enjoyed this book.
Brenda Novak is a great author and you will love this book and all her books!
