I bought this book for my niece who likes to cook. This is the best cookbook! I want to get one for myself because the recipes all look amazing and yes they are amazing, she has made so many of the recipes. I baked the chocolate cake that's in this book and I used the vanilla icing recipe from this book and brought it also and everyone loved it and it just solidified how great these recipes would be by everyone eating a delicious cake made from scratch, way better than you could ever make from any box and it was so easy - on hand ingredients and in 10 minutes your cake is in the oven. I never knew how easy it was to make your own icing as long as you have a mixer and I'm never buying a can of icing again because those have chemicals and this was the most delicious icing I've ever eaten in my life. These are the best recipes! Some are real easy that she can do all by herself and some are harder and need parental help but what an amazing cookbook. I would say you don't even need to be a child to buy this cookbook it's that amazing. The recipes are easy to follow most of them use ingredients that aren't weird or hard to find. Highly recommend this cookbook for anybody, whether you're a child or not.

Great book for young "chefs". Lot's of easy recipes. I give it to everyone I know that has young children or young teens.
I got this for my niece and nephew. They are making things from it (under adult supervision) and just love it. The niece is 6 and the nephew 5.
My granddaughter loves The Sweet and Salty cookbook. She is almost 9 and loves cooking with her mom. She got her cookbook for Christmas and has already made bread cookies and brownies!
