#1 New York Times bestselling author Tessa Bailey returns with an all-new sports rom-com about a burly, surly, single dad who falls head-over-hockey-stick for his quirky live-in nanny...
Tallulah is smart, vivacious, and studying to be a marine biologist. She's also twenty-six and broke. So when Burgess, a battle-scarred hockey veteran and newly single dad, offers her a job as his live-in nanny, she jumps at the opportunity to get paid while living in a super fancy neighborhood and being around Lissa, his cool but introverted tween.
Her tween charge isn't the only one who could use some help fitting in, though. According to...well, everyone except Burgess, he needs to get back on the dating scene, and adventurous Tallulah is just the girl to show him how. But as boundaries are slowly crossed and Burgess finds himself pulled between his daughter, who wants her parents back together, and his insane chemistry with Tallulah, a huge rift is formed, and Tallulah does the "right" thing--breaks her own heart and walks away.
Though Burgess knows it's for the best--he's too jaded, with too much baggage--a chance meeting, and a new push from his daughter, forces him to put everything on the line and fight to prove he learned his lessons well and is worthy of a happily ever after with Tallulah.

Loved this book! It is funny and spicy! I love a lot of Tessa Bailey’s books, but this is a favorite. I recommend reading Fangirl Down prior to this, just to get a better intro to the main characters. It’s an easy read that keeps you engaged. I couldn’t put it down!
It keeps you on the edge of your seat. It is an amusing experience.
Who knew I needed a sports series like this in my life? Even though I hate a third act break up, it was still great! Loved the characters and can’t wait to read book 3!
When Burgess finds out Tallulah is heading to Boston to work on her post-grad, he offers her a job as his daughter's nanny and place to stay. Tallulah finds herself helping Burgess’ tween daughter navigate school at an awkward age and helping her fit in. Burgess enjoys seeing them interact. When his daughter is spending time with her mother, the tension builds between Tallulah and Burgess. Burgess learns that his daughter wants him back together with her mother, everyone has to navigate through the mess.Let's start with what I loved. I loved that this was set in Boston, one of my favorite places. I could clearly picture the harbor, brownstones and cobblestone streets. I loved that we saw a little of Wells and Josephine from the first book. I loved how independent Tallulah was. Other than those, nothing really stood out. This was a good story with good spice. There is a third act breakup and I felt like they got back together too easily. I really wanted to like this one more. It's Tessa. It's hockey. It's single dad. But I just couldn't push it over three stars. Not my favorite Tessa book, but not my least favorite either. I will continue on with the series though.Callie Dalton did a good job with this book. I always enjoy listening to her and doing have any complaints. I will definitely listen to her again.THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU IF: You enjoy books in a series that are fun, spicy, and you never know what you're getting.
Really a 4.5, the last 30-40 pages were everything!!! The only thing that kept it from 5 stars was it started a little slower for me, but I really enjoyed it.
