From the author of The Lesbiana's Guide to Catholic School, two best bros fake an engagement-but will their friendship survive?

It's about time roommates Alejandro and Kenny get married. Or at least, that's what all their close friends and family think when they announce their engagement. The kicker? The two are faking their whole relationship so Alejandro can get a green card. But if Han was going to marry anyone, it would be his ride or die since second grade.

Han has never been able to put down roots, and the only one who truly breaks through his walls is Kenny. Sweet, sensitive Kenny is newly single, and what better distraction from his soul-sucking relationship than proposing marriage to Han? Kenny can't think of anything more fun than spending his life with his best friend, even if it's just for a piece of paper. But as Kenny keeps up the charade, he's soon struggling to resist their sizzling chemistry.

The line between fact and fiction begins to blur the closer they get to their wedding date. With all eyes on Han and Kenny--including a meddling ex and immigration officers--will these two bros make it down the altar for real?

Adorable and very real

This book just GOT me. I know someone with an ex like that and it was all too real. Amazing writing, precious autistic bb queer and just… happy sigh for the bi golden retriever boy who finds his happy ending

Not my favorite

While I loved other books by this author - this one did not do it for me unfortunately. The extremely mean ex + the absolute non stop lying and scheming she does to try to get the MMC deported - not my thing. While the friends to lovers was probably my favorite part - the overall story seemed very juvenile for the meat of the story.

I absolutely loved this book. The author incorporated numerous topics that so many people deal with on a daily basis. The characters pushed through their struggles and fears and came out stronger. Beautiful love story!

It was ok

I didn't click with this book. Normally I like fake dating, but the characters just didn't do it for me and the toxic relationships didn't help. There were some good moments in this book, but it wasn't for me.

Best friend soulmates

As an immigrant whose entire family are also immigrants, I relate to this story soooo much. All of the experiences depicted are very true of the experiences of immigrants. The fear of deportation, fear of law enforcement, fear of losing your job and your family, being separated from family members. Being abused and exploited by people who know or think they know your status. Having loved ones die in other countries and not able to attend the funeral. This book touched on so many situations, fears and feelings of the immigrant experience. One important point also is family, both found and by blood. This book shows how family sticks together through it all. Han, Kenny, Leti and the whole family will stay with me. I love to read and in all my years of reading fiction I’ve never really seen myself or my family experiences depicted much. I felt seen reading this book. Everyone needs a Leti, IYKYK 😁. I read and listened to this book, the audio is great.
