Before The Wren in the Holly Library, there was The Monster and the Last Blood Match and as the provocative, sensual Blood Type series continues, the rare bond between Reyna and Beckham is threatened by betrayal, greed, and twisted secrets.

Everyone wants a piece of her.
He wants it all.

Reyna Carpenter trusted the wrong people...and paid the price.

Held captive in the heart of a vampire empire, her freedom stripped and blood claimed, Reyna survives the only way she knows how--hope. Hope that she'll find a way to escape. Hope that she'll be reunited with Beckham. Hope that when she gets out of here, love will be waiting on the other side.

Except escape isn't salvation. It's only the beginning.

Because the world outside has changed. Lines have been drawn. Allegiances have shifted. And Reyna? She's no longer the girl who walked willingly into the dark.

But she'd do it all over again for Beckham.

Now she has to decide how far she'll go to reclaim her freedom...and the vampire she's fallen for. Because power runs through Reyna's veins, power others will do anything to control--which means she'll have to do more than just survive.

She'll have to fight back.

The Blood Type series is best enjoyed in order.

Blood Match picks up right where Blood Type ended and we are taken on another wild ride! Beckham and Reyna are separated when Blood Match starts and Reyna is in a pretty horrible predicament sees no way of getting out. Things are dire for her but Reyna isn't a quitter and finds a way to survive. When her and Beckham are finally reunited it doesn't go how Reyna planned, but that doesn't stop her. This book had so many twists and turns and a lot more truths revealed. We get to see Beckham and Reyna fall apart and come back together, as well as get to see Reyna truly come into her own and become a powerful person in her own right. She's not the weak girl she used to be, but she still has her idealist views and wants to know everything and make things right in the world, and I love this about her.Blood Match was a great addition to this trilogy and I can't wait to see how this series ends, especially with how this book ended!

Wowzers!

This book was way better than the first one. I enjoyed the growth in Reyna, she actually started thinking and she wasn’t as naive as she was in the first book. The ending was something and my heart broke, but it was an amazing read. I have already bought the third book, so I can’t wait until I read the finale.

Your Past Doesn’t Define Your Future

This story picks up right where Blood Type left off!Reyna has been taken by Visage. Harrington needs her blood. She is the only living match that can save him.Visage has many dirty secrets. They kidnapped Reyna but many others as well, conducting experiments and treating them like guinea pigs.Reyna has hope of getting free and reconciling with Beckham. Before she can orchestrate her own escape, Elle comes to her rescue.Living free after eight weeks of being used for her blood and kept like a prisoner is not easy. And getting Beckham back is even more difficult.Reyna is fearless and resilient. She fights for what’s right and she has hope for a better future. However, when the loses continue to mount and her reason for living is taken away, Reyna will have to find the will to keep on fighting!I am bingeing this series and loving it! I cannot wait for the conclusion.

Never

Becks is a interesting character. We never really know what he is thinking of his next move will be. He is in his own bubble and she just lives within it. I didn't like how she never took control and let everyone around her control her she to her naivete. Overall this addition and the story's progression is very entertaining.

Enjoyable second instalment in the trilogy

This was good read. I didn't like this book quite as much as the first book but I still found it to be quite enjoyable. This is the second book in the Blood Type series which is a series that really needs to be read in order since the three books come together to tell a single story. This book does end in a cliffhanger like the first book from the series did. I don't usually care for cliffhangers but I knew going into this book that the story would be continued in the next book which would be coming out pretty quickly. I really did enjoy this second chapter in Reyna and Beckham's story. There may be spoilers from the first book in this review. The first book in the series, Blood Type, left Reyna in a pretty desperate situation. I have been eager to see what would happen next ever since finishing that story so I decided to jump into this book to see how things would work out. Life with Harrington is nothing like the life she had with Beckham. She spends her time giving blood and is fairly miserable. There is quite a bit of action and excitement in the book with more than a few surprises worked into the story. The mysterious Elle organization plays a much larger role in this book with Reyna spending a lot of time with them. There is a pretty large cast of characters that all add to the story. Reyna and Beckham are still the stars of the book. I love how much both of their characters have developed since the start of the series and how well they fit with each other.I would recommend this series to others. I think it is a very well done and original vampire romance with a nice dose of heat. I cannot wait to read more from K.A. Linde soon.
