A fresh and stylish debut following a family of women who are thrust into the spotlight in the wake of a scandal and expertly exploit their newfound fame, perfect for readers of Good Material and Margo's Got Money Troubles.
When Lili Lowe gets caught having an affair with her married boss, an admired local politician, she finds herself at the epicenter of a scandal that could dismantle her life as she knows it. She turns, as many women would, to her mother. But Lydia Lowe is not the kind of mother to offer gentle words of consolation. Instead she devises a strategy that doesn't just manage the fallout, it actively exploits it, and Lili goes from making coffee and booking meetings to making headlines and booking talk shows. Soon, thanks to the commodification of Lili's scandal, the whole world knows the Lowe family.
Lili's three sisters--Stevie, Iris, and Katie--have differing reactions to being in the spotlight, but once the wheels are turning, it seems impossible to stop what's in motion...and it doesn't take long for the craziness surrounding the Lowes to spiral out of control. Money and celebrity, the Lowes discover, come at a price--sometimes, the louder one's voice (especially a woman's), the more others will seek to silence it.
With a potent blend of spectacular style, compulsive voice, sharp social commentary, and ferocious heart, The Lowe Job is escapism with teeth: a contemporary book club novel for the modern reader looking for fresh fiction that is at once funny, sexy, incisive, and heartfelt.

Don’t waste your money. Not sure where this book was going.
Outstanding. I raced through this book on my days off. I have to agree with those that say it is soap opera, it is drama, it is reality TV. It is trashy. Mama Bear has enough ambition and vengeance to plot out the life for herself and her 4 daughters. Woe betide anyone that gets in her way. All the daughters love their lifestyles, except for poor Katherine. My heart hurt for her. Thank you to NetGalley and William Morrow for the complementary ARC. This review is my own opinion.
I think it’s my favorite, #1 read of the year!! Imagine a Monica Lewinsky scandal that elevates into the rise of a British Kardashian empire🤩
The Lowe Job by Grace Alexander and provided by NetGalley🌟🌟🌟🌟This was not like anything I was expecting! This is a story that follows a high class well respected group of women who deal with the aftermath scandal of one of the daughters is caught providing favors to a politician. The majority of the storyline takes place after this happens and how the family is able to pivot. I really enjoyed how well rounded the characters were and the social issues women face discussed. I loved that we were able to follow each woman during their lives before and after the scandal. It had me gasping, laughing, and reflecting the entire way through.I had a blast with this one!
Okay so I loved this drama-filled, reality show style, comedy full of plot twists, the harsh facts of life and unique (and trauma filled) family bonding 🩷If I could give each Lowe three emojis to describe them (yes this it is my review - and it’s very on brand here) these are what they’d be: SPOILER FREE VERSION!!Lili: 🍆💁🏼♀️👜Lydia: 🕶️🍷🏡Stevie: 🍟🥤💔Iris: 👗💐🧘🏼♀️Katie: 🏊🏻♀️😭🪩Honorary mentions:Teddy: 💼💰🚖Charlie: 🛋️🍝😒Jake: 😤📝🤳🏻
