What a great book I never figured out anything !!I was on my toes all the way threw out this book ! Will be reading every book Sadie Jones has wrote 5 stars here!!
This book while it is interesting and the storyline contains subjects that may be triggering for some people. Narcissism and gaslighting characters. It did have interesting twists. The book left me feeling anxious which is why I mention trigger warnings.
3.5 ⭐️ read. It’s not as good as I hoped it would be. Extremely wordy, I skimmed quite a bit without missing anything significant.Basically Emily is a successful young woman in her 20’s that meets a dashing man named Kyle during an after work function. He seems taken with her and she him very fast. They seem to have a great relationship and then he introduces her to his mother Pammie. She seems nice yet leaves hints that something is off. Pammie is a little too over the top with her son. She slowly but surely begins to show her true colors to Emily and it’s quite obvious she doesn’t want them together yet Adam always sides with his mother making life difficult for Emily. Then there is his brother James who seems to have a thing for Emily as well. He tries to warn her of Adam but she doesn’t want to hear of it. This book was extremely frustrating bc the writing was on the wall that Emily should have left him long before other events occurred. The twist as the end was mind boggling. Emily needs to get her woman’s intuition fine tuned.
It seems so simple oldest Boy meets girl, his mother hates her and does everything she can to let her know. The girl cannot get anything right and watches her dreams get crushed over and over. Why can’t anyone else see? Read on and find out.
Was completely blown away with the ending!I absolutely enjoyed reading this.Through out the book, Pammie was the main character who made me feel frustrated just reading what she put Emily through. All makes sense now. Can't believe Emliy still stayed with Adam after reading alot they went through.Good insight on what can go on with relationships, and family.
