A little hard to get into at first. Then ,bam, it grabs you right in keeps you reading.!
I have no read the book yet, I am very excited to. But some pages came cut wrong and I know I’ll be missing out a bit:/ from pages 215 to 246 the top text is cut off because the pages were cut incorrectly.
I love her books I have read all of her books these was a great book. She is a great author.
It took me a bit for my interest to really get in this book, but I’m glad I stuck with it. So many twists and turns, even when you’re sure you’re following and there is nothing else that can surprise you, they throw a curveball your way! There was mystery and suspense as well as difficult familial relationships and figuring out if you should trust your gut or what you’re being told. Also there’s some pretty good gaslighting going on of characters throughout the book that finally made sense in the end. Everything is wrapped up and there are no lingering questions at the end which I appreciate. I like how all of the characters interacted and became subjects as well in the twists and you got to see a bit of everyone. I was a little annoyed by MC but she’s a teenager so I chalked some of her attitude towards her being captured extremely realistically.
I enjoyed the book, a little longer than necessary at times. Sometimes, the writing felt a little off, like I needed to reread it a second time so I could get the flow. This was my second Holly Jackson book. I enjoyed this more than the first
