Could there be room for attraction?
Hunter has secretly been in love with her best friend's brother Dylan for years, despite barely registering as a blip on his radar. She's not even in the friend zone-more like friend zone adjacent. But her luck is about to change: Dylan is taking over her spare room, and she's being promoted to roommate. Could this be the moment Dylan finally notices her?
Not so fast. When Dylan moves in, he carries more than just boxes-he brings complications. Suddenly, the dream of living under the same roof turns into a daily struggle. Dylan is off-limits, for reasons Hunter couldn't have anticipated, and the closer they get, the harder it becomes to ignore her feelings.
But Hunter's determined to keep her heart in check-no matter how difficult the task. She just has to avoid ogling him in a towel. Definitely don't imagine what's under the towel. And try not to swoon when he bakes cookies.
But after he saves her from a terrible date and they're forced to share a sofa bed at his parents' house, her emotions reach a breaking point. She'll have to either move on or move out. Will she tell him the truth-or lose him forever?
The Roommate Experiment is a roommates-to-lovers, forced proximity, STEMinist rom-com perfect for fans of Lynn Painter, Sarah Adams, and Abby Jimenez.

It’s a ‘never give up on love’ book with a beautiful HEA. Throw in the difficulties of work and inconvenient dating the wrong person and you find a forever romance.
The Roommate Experiment by Camilla Isley is the third and final book in the Funny Feelings Series. While this series was written with the ability to pick and choose how it is consumed (as a whole or individually), I highly recommend saving this one for LAST (the epilogue is set five years in the future and catches up with the entire friend group). This story is the epitome of slow burn! In fact, roughly seventy-five percent of the book is Hunter secretly pinning after Dylan. Although it is excruciating to see her struggle, it makes for delicious scenarios that wouldn’t be possible otherwise. With that said, the pay off is well worth it. Hello kitchen scene!!! The two of them together are like lightening in a bottle.Be sure to read this book for:-dyslexia, PCOS, and endometriosis rep.-will they, won’t they-forced proximity-lots of chemistry
So, this book follows hunter and Dylan. Friends turned lovers. And my goodness does this author take the slowest route there. This book, it has all the things romcoms have, the couple, the chase, the fails...and finally the catch. But the author made this couple the most scared adults I've ever read. It was a little frustrating reading hunter bringing madly in love with Dylan while he's in a relationship he doesn't want to be in, while he starts to notice hunter for the woman she turned in to.This was the longest cat, mouse chase EVER.
This book was SO CUTE! So many of my favorite tropes- a slow burn, one bed, friends to lovers, best friend's brother, cute banter. Phew!Hunter has known Dylan for 11 years. Hunter is best friends with Dylan's younger sister, Nina. She's been holding a torch for him since the first time she saw him. Their timing never quite worked out until through a roommate swap- Nina moves in with her boyfriend/Dylan's best friend and former roommate and Dylan moves in with Hunter. Hunter hopes this is finally the time he'll see her as something other than his little sister's best friend. But he drops the news that he has a new girlfriend and Hunter is crushed. His girlfriend turns out to be slightly unhinged and it was almost comical how long it took for them to break up.When Dylan and Hunter finally get together, they have swoon worthy chemistry that gave me butterflies. I do wish we had more time with them together and that Dylan would have ended it with Olivia as soon as he realized he had feelings for Hunter.I adored all the references to BookTok and specifically the comment about how the FMC loves a book with sprayed edges. (Same, girl, same!) Loved that the FMC is 29 and secure in herself and her job. I also loved the other couples and will definitely be going back to read their stories! Will definitely recommend this sweet little romance to all my friends!Overall rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Spice rating: 0.5 🌶
🌸 Impossible to read without smiling, laughing and simply enjoying this story!🌸 Hunter and Dylan have known each other for years. Hunter has secretly crushed on him; Dylan has never seen her as more than a friend. Hunter’s crush has not disappeared and Dylan has a girlfriend. Clearly, the only solution is to begin dating again. Cue some very laughable experiences!🌸 Dylan realizes his relationship with Olivia might not be the one he is looking for. Hunter is suddenly occupying more of his head space. He finds himself enjoying coming home to her and the small moments they share.🌸 Both have a secret they never share. Once Hunter and Dylan discover they might have a chance together, well, let the taunting and flirting
