ONE OF TIME MAGAZINE'S 100 BEST MYSTERY AND THRILLER BOOKS OF ALL TIME - INTERNATIONAL BESTSELLER - A contemporary literary classic and "an accomplished psychological thriller ... absolutely chilling" (Village Voice), from the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of The Goldfinch.
One of The Atlantic's Great American Novels of the Past 100 Years
Under the influence of a charismatic classics professor, a group of clever, eccentric misfits at a New England college discover a way of thought and life a world away from their banal contemporaries. But their search for the transcendent leads them down a dangerous path, beyond human constructs of morality.
"A remarkably powerful novel [and] a ferociously well-paced entertainment . . . Forceful, cerebral, and impeccably controlled." --The New York Times

Not my style of book. Story was good but the writing style was way too cerebral for me. Not my favorite. I’d only recommend it to a very specific kind of reader.
Fast shipping & was as described. Priced very well. I’m very pleased with my purchase & grateful to the seller for making this affordable.
One of my favorite books of all time. Donna Tartt has an incredible ability to completely captivate the reader, and her descriptive writing creates vivid imagery in a way few authors can. I bought this as a gift for a friend, and she absolutely loved it.
Absolute delightful read. Characters well developed and engaging. Looking forward reading more if hers. The story moved quickly and captivates at every page
I read this for the first time when it was published in 1992 & just reread a second time. I am very glad I did; it is just brilliant. Going back for seconds on The Goldfinch next
