#1 NEW YORK TIMES AND USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR
"Take my word for it, James Reece is one rowdy motherf***er. Get ready!" --Chris Pratt, star of the #1 Amazon Prime series The Terminal List
A Navy SEAL has nothing left to live for and everything to kill for after he discovers that the American government is behind the deaths of his team in this ripped-from-the-headlines political thriller that is "so powerful, so pulse-pounding, so well-written--rarely do you read a debut novel this damn good" (Brad Thor, #1 New York Times bestselling author).
On his last combat deployment, Lieutenant Commander James Reece's entire team was killed in a catastrophic ambush. But when those dearest to him are murdered on the day of his homecoming, Reece discovers that this was not an act of war by a foreign enemy but a conspiracy that runs to the highest levels of government.
Now, with no family and free from the military's command structure, Reece applies the lessons that he's learned in over a decade of constant warfare toward avenging the deaths of his family and teammates. With breathless pacing and relentless suspense, Reece ruthlessly targets his enemies in the upper echelons of power without regard for the laws of combat or the rule of law.
"Told with a deft hand and a keen eye for detail, The Terminal List...is explosive and riveting" (Kevin Maurer, co-author of No East Day) and is perfect for fans of Vince Flynn, Brad Thor, Stephen Hunter, and Nelson DeMille.

Fantastic scheming with gut wrenching blood lust, all in a good way!I couldn’t put I down, morbidly looking forward to the next slaughter
This is definitely a gripping page turner. Very much worth reading. I’ve already purchased two more copies of this book to give as gifts for my father, (who is an Army veteran) and my husband. Jack Carr really took me on a journey with this one. Great story teller. Needless to say I’ll most likely be reading this entire series.
The Terminal List is a high-octane, no-holds-barred read. At its center is Lieutenant Commander James Reece, a battle-hardened Navy SEAL whose world is shattered by betrayal and loss. What follows is a gripping story of revenge and justice as Reece turns his elite skills against those responsible. What I especially appreciated was the outstanding planning and tactics Reece employs throughout the story. Carr—himself a former Navy SEAL and a really nice guy—brings authentic detail to every operation, from reconnaissance and tradecraft to precise execution under pressure. The sequences feel grounded and realistic, showcasing Reece’s patience, adaptability, and strategic mindset as he methodically works to even the score. The pacing is pretty good, the action intense, and the moral weight of Reece’s choices adds real depth. It’s a compelling tale of survival and determination that pulls no punches. By the end, you’ll be eager to continue the series. I just started reading True Believer, book 2.If you enjoy tactical thrillers with authentic special operations detail and a protagonist who refuses to be a victim, The Terminal List is a must-read. I’d rate it a strong 4.5 out of 5.
Good characters and an exciting plot with twists and turns throughout. Very well written and hard to put down. Leading character is awesome.
