INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER
Reminiscent of a classic whodunit, this “pulse-quickening” (Oprah Daily) instant New York Times and USA TODAY bestseller follows a journalist searching for a missing woman on a cruise ship—a woman that everyone else insists doesn’t exist.
Travel magazine writer Lo Blacklock has just been given the assignment of a lifetime: one week on a luxury cruise with only a handful of cabins. The sky is clear, the waters calm, and the elite guests jovial as the exclusive cruise ship, the Aurora, begins her voyage in the picturesque North Sea.
At first, Lo’s voyage is perfect, with a plush cabin, elegant dinner parties, and plenty of relaxation. But as the week wears on, frigid winds whip the deck, gray skies fall, and Lo witnesses what she can only describe as a dark and terrifying nightmare: a woman being thrown overboard. The problem? All passengers remain accounted for—and so, the ship sails on as if nothing has happened, despite Lo’s desperate attempts to convey that something has gone terribly, terribly wrong…
With surprising twists, spine-tingling turns, and a setting that proves as uncomfortably claustrophobic as it is eerily beautiful, Ruth Ware offers up a taut and intense read in The Woman in Cabin 10—proving, once again, her place as “the Agatha Christie of [her] generation” (The Washington Post).

The plot pulls you in right away and keeps you engaged! It was a page turner and a fast read.
This is my kind of book! I had actually been expecting something completely different than what played out. That surprised me and I loved the twists and turns. The very end of book petered out just a bit but it didn’t affect my overall opinion of the story. Looking forward to watching the Netflix adaptation, although I’m not excited for Lo to be played by Keira Knightley. Not a big fan of hers and I actually pictured Irish actress Siobhán Cullen while reading. Her portrayal of Dove in the show Bodkin was very similar to Lo’s character. Now I’m excited to grab the sequel when it comes out.
this book will keep you on your toes!!! i had a hard time in the beginning getting used to this writing and getting invested in the story but once i got to about 30% and she started leaving cliff hangers it really stuck with me. the writing along with the character builds is so captivating you never know what was happening next. all i will say is the ending had me in a whole emotional rollercoaster
Really enjoyed way the author organized the plot and sections in this book. The use of future e-mails at the end of each section kept me guessing as to how things would play out on the cruise ship. I really liked the main couple and am happy that the author has just released another book with them in it. The Kindle version of this book has nice extras like book club talking points and the first four chapters of the new book.
This book was a very slow burn for me but at the end it really paid off and it was so good!
