I really liked this book! I put it in my library and the students loved it. The kids loved the humor in it and it was great to read when the leaves were changing colors.
I love the repetition in this book. It’s an easy read. The students are able to catch on and join in the story easily. There are many enrichment activities you can do with this book. There’s a lots of art projects/ideas you can pull out of this book. I give a grade of A+. I would recommend to anyone.
Lucille Colandro has books for every occasion and season. Our family loves the funny books of cumulative tales. What will the little old lady swallow next? We always have fun making ridiculous predictions of what will follow in the story. We’ve collected about six of her stories so far and can’t wait to get our hands on more!
In our Kindergarten class we have enjoyed several The old lady who swallowed a.....series..I hope my great niece loves it just as much!
Students really enjoy completing the sentences after they catch onto the repetition! Great book!
