This is a beautiful, funny, and heartbreaking book. It really highlights the different perspectives people have in a relationship and Carlino's writing style is on point, keeping the reader engaged and painting a vivid picture in their mind.
Great book, great summer read
I was in a reading slump and grabbed this book knowing nothing about it...such a moving story! It made me laugh and it made me cry! What more could you want from a book! I will definitely be looking for more books by this author!
I really enjoyed this book. I was so captivated I finished it in 4 days ! I was crying puddles by the end. A very good read. You should definitely give it a try, and it will give you diffrent outlooks on situations in your life possibly!
I did not expect this book be sooo damn good! Honestly, I went into this book with the idea of light read to cleanse my mind from heavy reads I recently finished. And I could not have picked the worse book to classify as "light" one. This book, this story, these characters made me smile and frown at the same time in the beginning, then it made me really think and reflect in the middle, and it completely destroyed me at the end. Such a phenomenal book, different approach to subject of "what is love?". The feelings I had while reading "This Used to be us" were at times similar to "wedding people", which also blew me away. Don't keep this one on your turn shelf, pick it up!
