This is a very well laid out book with such interesting nuggets of information. I ordered this for my son and found it fun to read with him. It is a great book for kids since they learn about our country, it's history and each individual state without being boringly uninteresting.I also love that I can share stories about certain states I've lived or visited with him.The pictures are perfect without being distractingly colorful and childish, but still relatable to the subject. Overall the artwork is lovely.I highly recommend this book for educating kids about our diverse and beautiful country as well as how it was founded and it's core values. I'm really hoping it still is such in the years to come, even though it's not the same as it was many years ago and is sadly rapidly changing more and more.
This book is just so nicely done and contains a plethora of information, all broken down into easily digestible pieces with fun graphics, lists, bubbles and colors to keep it engaging. The book itself is large and has a sturdy cover and thick pages. I thought it was going to just be a summary of each state but it contains SO much more. Each state has a dedicated 2 page spread with great information from basic facts to interesting history. Additionally, there are pages that tell about commonwealths, territories, neighboring countries, military branches, government structure, presidents, state parks, native history, the flag, the colonies, tribal territories, and more. The information and visuals are appealing and engaging to literally any age. This book is awesome just for fun learning and exploration but can also make a great unit study. I go through this book with my kids, who range from preschool to junior high age and they all enjoy it and learn new things. You could easily use each page as a starting point to dive into a whole exploration of that state or topic or just stick with what's in the book and be set either way.Overall, I'm very impressed and pleased with this book. Great for family learning and exploring.
The United States Book is an incredible journey through the diverse landscapes, history, and culture of America. Packed with fascinating facts and vibrant illustrations, it captures the beauty and complexity of all 50 states, as well as U.S. territories and neighboring countries. My child loved learning about Native history, iconic cities, and the symbolism of the American flag. The maps and detailed spreads on national parks, government, and famous landmarks make it an engaging read for all ages.
This book about the United States has a lot of great illustrations and factoids about all 50 states. The book tells you a bit about what each state is known for and what makes that state unique. They also highlight things such as the Great Lakes, the Grand Canyon, and other touristy places. Overall this is a good book to get a kid to become more interested to learn more about the United States.
We got this book to show our five year old different states and information about different states. It is a great quality book. The pictures are engaging and the quality of the printed materials is great. No complaints! Five year old loves looking through the book and he loves when we read him pages out of it.
