"Magical, murderous, romantic romp through a fantasy world as colorful as it is captivating." Thea Guanzon, New York Times bestselling author of THE HURRICANE WARS
A mind-blowing murder mystery on a ship full of magical passengers. If Agatha Christie wrote fantasy, this would be it!
For a thousand years, Concordia has maintained peace between its provinces. To mark this incredible feat, the emperor's ship embarks upon a twelve-day voyage to the sacred Goddess's Mountain. Aboard are the twelve heirs of the provinces of Concordia, each graced with a unique and secret magical ability known as a Blessing.
All except one: Ganymedes Piscero--class clown, slacker and all-around disappointment.
When a beloved heir is murdered, everyone is a suspect. Stuck at sea and surrounded by powerful people and without a Blessing to protect him, Ganymedes's odds of survival are slim.
But as the bodies pile higher, Ganymedes must become the hero he was not born to be. Can he unmask the killer and their secret Blessing before this bloody crusade reaches the shores of Concordia?
Or will the empire as he knows it fall?

Entertaining murder mystery with cool magic
No spoilers:Probably my favorite book I've read this year! I laughed out loud many times. I LOVE the main character. So much humor but depth as well. The mystery is fun to piece together and solve. The solution made sense and isn't frustrating. The characters are believable with their character growth as well. After reading it once, I want to read it again knowing the ending.I do have a few concerns with the world building, but those were easily ignored because I had so much fun going along with the main character.
The book was in great condition, and even came with sprayed edges. It is not my normal genre type, but was a good YA mystery!
This is not a child's book. It is fun, and after reading it once and listening to it on audible, I will keep it as one of my favorites. I wished it would keep going, but all good things must come to an end. . .sadly.
I really, REALLY wanted to like this book, but somehow all its wonderful building blocks just didn't come together for me.- Bad Pacing: First 70% of the book was a real slog- Deus Ex Machina: All the big reveals felt like they came out of left field, with little to no clues for the reader. It didn't come across as sophisticated; it came across as badly planned and plotted, and a series of hail marys thrown by the author- Anachronisms: Every so often, the book has a joke that relies on the reader's understanding of current Internet culture. It works in Deadpool; it does not work here because it jerks the reader out of the constructed fantasy world and back into our ownDon't get me wrong, I'd love to see more works from this author because they show a LOT of promise, but this book just doesn't *work* as a cohesive, enjoyable book.
